  2. Stopping: Release the power trigger to stop the tiller.

4.2 Tilling Techniques

For optimal results, follow these guidelines:

  • Initial Pass: Begin by making a shallow pass to break the surface of the soil.
  • Subsequent Passes: For deeper cultivation, make several passes over the same area, gradually increasing the depth.
  • Movement: Move the tiller slowly and steadily. Do not force the machine. Allow the tines to do the work.
  • Overlapping: Overlap each pass slightly to ensure complete coverage of the area.
  • Soil Conditions: The tiller is most effective in moist, but not waterlogged, soil. Avoid tilling extremely dry or hard-packed soil without pre-watering.

  • After each use, disconnect the battery and clean soil, debris, and plant matter from the tines and housing. Use a stiff brush or cloth.
  • Do not use water directly on the motor housing or battery compartment.

5.2 Tine Inspection

  • Periodically inspect the steel tines for wear, damage, or bending. Replace damaged tines immediately.
  • Remove any tangled roots or string from around the tines.

5.3 Battery Care and Storage

  • Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Do not store batteries in a discharged state. Recharge them periodically if not in use for extended periods.
