4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Device

4.4 Mode Switching

The Free2 supports different modes for various functionalities. Press the "ON/OFF Function" button briefly to cycle through available modes. The indicator lights will change to reflect the current mode.

  • Android E-book Reader Version: Supports page flipping using volume mode. (Not compatible with Kindle).
  • Smartphone and iPad Versions: Controls TikTok vertical video, page flipping in reading apps, music playback (switching/pausing), and remote camera control.
  • KOBO Reader and PC Version: Supports page flipping on Kobo devices (may require plugins). For PC, supports TikTok scrolling, PPT page flipping, and music switching (requires shortcut key settings in application). A Bluetooth receiver is required for PCs without built-in Bluetooth.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Page Flipping

  • For Android E-readers: Ensure the device is in the correct mode. In your reading application settings, enable page flipping using volume keys. The Free2 will then control page turns.
  • For Smartphones/Tablets: In compatible reading applications, the device can directly control page flipping.
  • For Kobo Devices: Connect via Bluetooth. Some Kobo devices may require specific plugins to enable page flipping functionality.
  • For PC: Supports PPT page flipping. For other applications, ensure the Free2 is in the correct mode and any necessary shortcut keys are configured within the application settings.

Note: Kindle devices are not supported.

5.2 Media Control (Smartphone/Tablet/PC)

  • TikTok: Switch between vertical videos.
  • Music Playback: Switch tracks and pause/resume music. For PC, this requires setting shortcut keys in the music application.

5.3 Remote Camera Control (Smartphone/Tablet)

When in the smartphone/tablet mode, the Free2 can remotely control your phone's camera to take photos and videos from a distance of approximately 10 meters.

5.4 RGB Lighting Control

  • The device comes with RGB lighting.
  • Hardware Control: Long press a button cap for 15 seconds to toggle the lighting on/off.
  • Software Control: Use the official customization software (Windows 10 and above) to permanently turn off lighting or change lighting colors.

7. Troubleshooting
