4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Battery Installation and Charging
The device uses 18650 rechargeable batteries. Fully charge the batteries before first use. Insert the batteries into the transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX) units, ensuring correct polarity.

The device supports dual power supply: rechargeable batteries and Type-C wired power. A single charge can last for several months. The display shows the real-time battery level, and a low battery warning will be issued when necessary.
4.2 Mounting the Device
The people counter can be installed using either double-sided adhesive tape or screws (not included). Choose a suitable location on both sides of the doorway or entrance.
- Installation Height: Mount both the Transmitter (TX) and Receiver (RX) units at a height of 1.2 to 1.4 meters (approximately 47 to 55 inches) above the ground.
- Alignment: Ensure the Transmitter (TX) and Receiver (RX) are horizontally aligned and facing each other directly across the doorway. The infrared beam should be unobstructed.
- Orientation: The arrows on the units should point towards the indoor area.
- Distance from Glass/Mirror: Maintain a distance of at least 50 cm (approximately 20 inches) from any glass or mirrored surfaces to prevent interference with the infrared beam.
- Detection Distance: The adjustable detection range is 0-20 meters.

Important Note: When two people pass through the detection area simultaneously, the device may only register a count of "1". Children under 140cm (approximately 55 inches) may not be consistently counted due to the installation height.
5. Operation
5.1 Display and Touch Controls
The Receiver (RX) unit features an LED screen and touch controls for viewing data and adjusting settings.
- Short Touch: Activates the display, navigates "Forward" or "Change Menu".
- Long Touch (2 seconds): Enters a menu item or confirms a selection. During data browsing, a long touch means "Back".

5.2 LED Indicators (Receiver RX)
The Receiver (RX) unit has four LED indicators that provide status information:
- L1 (Green Flash): Indicates an entry count.
- L2 (Normally Off): Flashes green twice every 5 seconds if there is an IR fault. In configuration mode, it is off if no IR signal is detected, and solid on when IR focus is complete.
- L3 (Normally Off): Flashes red twice every 5 seconds to indicate low battery.
- L4 (Red Flash): Indicates an exit count.

6. Data Management
The BAOSHISHAN Wireless People Counter stores and allows you to query data directly on the device's screen. Data cannot be exported.
- Data Storage: The device stores data for the last 60 days and can retain aggregated data for up to 5 years.
- Data Viewing: You can view data by day, week, month, or year directly on the screen.
- Data Reset: The device supports resetting data for a single day or resetting all stored data.

7. Maintenance
