Model: 6110068754

Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and proper use, assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your Gamo Swarm Whisper Multi-Shot Break Barrel Pellet Air Rifle. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the air rifle.

The Gamo Swarm Whisper is a break-barrel air rifle featuring Gamo’s 10X Quick-Shot technology, which allows for rapid follow-up shots using a 10-round magazine. It is powered by an IGT (Inert Gas Technology) gas piston, designed to provide consistent power and reduced vibration. The rifle includes a Whisper sound suppression system and comes equipped with a 4x32 scope.

Safety Information

Always treat the air rifle as if it is loaded. Follow these safety guidelines:

  • Always point the muzzle in a safe direction.
  • Keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
  • Keep the air rifle on 'Safe' until you are ready to fire.
  • Be sure of your target and what is beyond it.
  • Wear appropriate eye protection when handling or shooting the air rifle.
  • Store the air rifle unloaded and separate from pellets, in a secure location inaccessible to children and unauthorized users.
  • Never dry fire the air rifle, as this can cause damage to the internal mechanisms.

Verify that all items are present in the package:

Assembly and Setup

1. Unpacking

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain the packaging for future storage or transport.

2. Scope Mounting

The 4x32 scope is typically included and may require mounting. Secure the scope to the rifle's 11mm aluminum rail using the provided rings. Ensure the scope is level and positioned for comfortable eye relief. Tighten all screws firmly but do not overtighten.

3. Magazine Installation

The 10-shot magazine is designed for quick loading. To install, ensure the rifle is uncocked and on 'Safe'. Insert the loaded magazine into the receiver until it clicks into place.

4. Initial Inspection

Before first use, inspect the air rifle for any visible damage or loose parts. Ensure the barrel is clear of obstructions.

Operating Instructions

1. Loading Pellets

The Gamo Swarm Whisper uses a 10X Quick-Shot magazine. To load the magazine:

  1. Remove the magazine from the rifle.
  2. Rotate the inner rotor to expose the pellet chambers.
  3. Insert .177 caliber pellets into each chamber, ensuring they are seated correctly.
  4. Return the magazine to the rifle.

2. Cocking the Rifle

The Gamo Swarm Whisper is a break-barrel air rifle:

  1. Point the muzzle in a safe direction.
  2. Grasp the barrel and firmly pull it downwards and backward until the internal mechanism cocks and the automatic safety engages.
  3. Return the barrel to its original position, ensuring it locks securely. This action also indexes a new pellet from the magazine into the breech.

3. Engaging/Disengaging Safety

The air rifle features an automatic safety that engages when the rifle is cocked. To disengage the safety, push the safety lever forward just before firing. Always ensure the safety is engaged until you are ready to take a shot.

4. Aiming and Firing

With the rifle cocked, safety disengaged, and a clear target, align your sights or scope. Gently squeeze the trigger to fire. After firing, the rifle must be cocked again to load the next pellet and prepare for another shot.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning the Barrel

Regularly clean the barrel to maintain accuracy. Use a cleaning rod with appropriate patches and air rifle cleaning solvent. Clean from the breech end if possible, or use a pull-through system.

2. General Care

Wipe down the exterior of the air rifle with a clean, dry cloth after each use to remove moisture and debris. Apply a light coat of silicone oil to metal parts to prevent corrosion. Avoid using petroleum-based oils on seals or synthetic components.

3. Pellet Selection

For optimal performance and accuracy, use high-quality .177 caliber pellets. Gamo brand pellets are recommended. Note that some pellet designs, such as certain 'fast flight' types, may not fit or feed reliably in the 10X magazine. Experiment with different pellet types to find the best accuracy for your rifle.

Troubleshooting

  • Inaccuracy: If the rifle is consistently inaccurate, check the scope mounting for tightness. Ensure the scope has been properly sighted in. Verify that pellets are seated correctly in the magazine and that the barrel is clean. Different pellet types can significantly affect accuracy.
  • Pellet Loading Issues: If pellets are not feeding correctly from the magazine, ensure the magazine is properly installed and not damaged. Inspect the magazine's internal springs and rotor for any obstructions or malfunctions. Ensure you are using compatible .177 caliber pellets that fit the magazine chambers.
  • Excessive Noise: While the Gamo Swarm Whisper features sound suppression, some noise is inherent to air rifle operation. Factors like pellet velocity exceeding the speed of sound can create a 'crack' sound. Ensure the Whisper system is not damaged.
  • Difficulty Cocking: The break-barrel mechanism requires a firm and consistent pull. If cocking is unusually difficult, ensure the barrel is pulled fully down until the mechanism latches. If resistance is abnormal, consult customer support.
