Heat Management

The FR1100SE incorporates a triple heat management system to ensure stable output and prevent overheating:

Water Resistance

The FR1100SE is designed with a waterproof rating, making it suitable for use in various weather conditions. However, it is important to ensure all ports are securely closed to maintain water resistance. Avoid submerging the light in water.

Troubleshooting

Light Not Turning On/Charging

  • Ensure the battery is charged. Check the battery level by single-clicking the power button when the light is off.
  • Verify that the charging cable is securely connected to both the light and the power source.
  • Try a different charging cable or USB port.

Electromagnetic Interference with Cycle Computers

Some analog wireless cycle computers (e.g., certain CAT EYE models like STRADA SLIM CC-RD310W) may experience electromagnetic interference when the FR1100SE is mounted directly beneath them, leading to inaccurate speed readings or other malfunctions.

  • If you experience interference, try mounting the FR1100SE in a different location on your handlebars, away from the cycle computer's sensor.
  • Digital wireless cycle computers (e.g., Garmin) are generally less susceptible to this issue.
  • Before purchasing, verify compatibility and potential interference if you use an analog wireless cycle computer.

Automatic On/Off Not Functioning

  • Ensure the light is in a mode that supports the automatic on/off function (most modes do).
  • Check for any obstructions around the vibration sensor.
  • If the light is not detecting vibration, ensure it is securely mounted to the bicycle.
