Setup

Follow these steps for quick and easy installation:

  1. Placement: Place the portable air conditioner on a firm, level surface in the desired room. Ensure there is at least 30 cm of clear space around the unit for proper air circulation. The unit is equipped with swivel casters for easy movement.
  2. Window Kit Installation: Assemble the window kit according to your window type (sliding or casement). Extend the window sealing plate to fit the window opening and secure it.
  3. Exhaust Hose Connection: Attach one end of the exhaust hose to the exhaust adapter. Connect the other end of the exhaust hose to the exhaust outlet on the back of the air conditioner unit. Then, insert the exhaust adapter into the opening of the window kit. Ensure all connections are secure to prevent air leakage.
  4. Drainage Hose (for Dehumidifier Mode): For continuous drainage during dehumidifier mode, connect the drainage hose to the continuous drain port at the back of the unit and lead it to a suitable drain or container. For cooling mode, the unit typically self-evaporates condensate, but manual draining may be required in high humidity.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your air conditioner.

Cleaning the Air Filter

The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality. A dirty filter can reduce cooling efficiency and airflow.

  1. Unplug the unit from the power outlet.
  2. Remove the filter from the back of the unit.
  3. Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinstalling it. Do not expose to direct sunlight.

Draining Water

In high humidity conditions, the internal water tank may fill up, and the unit will stop operating. A 'FL' or 'P1' error code may appear on the display. To drain the water:

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Place a shallow pan or tray under the drain port at the bottom rear of the unit.
  3. Remove the drain plug to allow water to flow out.
  4. Once drained, replace the drain plug securely.

Storage

If storing the unit for an extended period:

  • Drain all water from the unit.
  • Clean the air filter.
  • Run the unit in fan-only mode for a few hours to dry the interior.
  • Store the unit in a dry, upright position, preferably in its original packaging.
