Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for safe and correct installation of your timer.

1. Mounting the Timer

  1. Choose a suitable outdoor location that is easily accessible, protected from direct sunlight, and within reach of the power source and the appliance to be controlled.
  2. Use the provided screws to securely mount the timer's housing to a flat, stable surface. Ensure the housing is level.

2. Wiring Instructions

IMPORTANT: Ensure power is OFF at the circuit breaker before proceeding with any wiring.

  • Open the timer's protective cover.
  • Identify the input terminals (power supply) and output terminals (to appliance). Refer to the wiring diagram usually printed inside the timer or on the unit itself.
  • Connect the AC 110V power supply wires to the input terminals. Use appropriate wire gauges for your application.
  • Connect the wires leading to your pool pump or heater filter to the output terminals.
  • Ensure all connections are tight and secure. Use the provided connectors and washers to seal cable entries, maintaining the timer's weather resistance.
  • Close the protective cover securely.

Operating Instructions

Familiarize yourself with the control panel buttons:

  • C/R: Clear/Reset button.
  • D+: Day adjustment.
  • H+: Hour adjustment.
  • M+: Minute adjustment.
  • P: Program button (to enter/exit programming mode).
  • Clock icon: Set current time/day.
  • Manual: Manual ON/OFF/AUTO override.

1. Setting Current Time and Day

  1. Press the Clock icon button.
  2. While holding the Clock icon, press D+ to set the current day of the week.
  3. While holding the Clock icon, press H+ to set the current hour.
  4. While holding the Clock icon, press M+ to set the current minute.
  5. Release the Clock icon button. The time is now set.

2. Programming ON/OFF Cycles

The timer supports up to 28 ON/OFF programs. Each program consists of an ON time and an OFF time.

  1. Press the P button once. The display will show "1 ON".
  2. Press D+ to select the day(s) for this program (e.g., Mon-Fri, Sat-Sun, every day, specific days).
  3. Press H+ to set the desired ON hour.
  4. Press M+ to set the desired ON minute.
  5. Press P again. The display will show "1 OFF".
  6. Press D+ to select the day(s) for this OFF program (usually matches the ON program).
  7. Press H+ to set the desired OFF hour.
  8. Press M+ to set the desired OFF minute.
  9. Repeat steps 1-8 for additional ON/OFF programs (up to 28).
  10. After setting all desired programs, press the Clock icon button to exit programming mode and return to the current time display.

3. Manual Control / Override

The Manual button allows you to override the programmed settings temporarily.

  • Press the Manual button repeatedly to cycle through modes:
  • ON: The appliance will remain ON continuously, overriding all programs.
  • OFF: The appliance will remain OFF continuously, overriding all programs.
  • AUTO: The timer will operate according to the programmed ON/OFF cycles. This is the standard operating mode.

4. Resetting the Timer

To clear all settings and reset the timer to its factory defaults, press the C/R button using a pointed object (e.g., a pen tip). You will then need to re-set the current time and all programs.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the timer's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the protective cover is always clean and clear for display visibility.
  • Battery Backup: The built-in lithium-ion battery maintains time and program settings during power outages. No user maintenance is required for the battery. If the display is blank or settings are lost frequently after power interruptions, the battery may need professional servicing.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the wiring connections and the timer housing for any signs of damage or wear.
