1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and effective use of your Shadowhawk S1979 365nm UV Flashlight. This device is designed for various detection and curing applications, featuring a 30W 4-core LED and a 99% filter lens for pure UV output.

2. Package Contents

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

The S1979 flashlight can be powered by either the included rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery or three AAA alkaline batteries.

  1. For Rechargeable Battery: Unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight. Insert the rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery into the flashlight body with the positive (+) end facing towards the head of the flashlight. Place the plastic battery tube around the rechargeable battery for a secure fit. Screw the tail cap back on tightly.
  2. For AAA Batteries: Unscrew the tail cap. Insert three AAA alkaline batteries into the provided AAA battery holder, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Insert the loaded battery holder into the flashlight body with the positive (+) end facing towards the head. Screw the tail cap back on tightly.

3.2 Charging the Rechargeable Battery

Before first use, fully charge the rechargeable battery.

  1. Locate the USB-C charging port on the flashlight body.
  2. Connect the included USB-C cable to the flashlight's USB-C port.
  3. Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to a compatible USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, power bank, laptop).
  4. The LCD display will show charging progress. A full charge typically takes approximately 2 hours.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off and Battery Display

  • To turn the flashlight ON, press the power button located on the side of the flashlight.
  • To turn the flashlight OFF, press the power button again.

4.4 Power Bank Function

The S1979 flashlight can also function as a portable power bank. Connect your mobile device to the flashlight's USB-A output port using a compatible cable to charge your device in emergencies.
