4. Setup and Installation
Before You Begin: Ensure power is OFF at the circuit breaker. Read all safety instructions.
4.1 Select Color Temperature
Before mounting the fixture, use the toggle switch located on the back of the light to select your desired color temperature (3000K, 4000K, or 5000K). This setting cannot be changed after installation without dismounting the fixture.

Figure 1: Color Temperature Selection Switch. The image displays the underside of the light fixture with a small toggle switch labeled 'C N W' for Cold, Neutral, and Warm white light settings. Three example light outputs are shown above: 5000K Cold White, 4000K Neutral White, and 3000K Warm White.
4.2 Mounting Methods
The fixture supports both ceiling mount and wall mount installations. The recommended mounting height for optimal motion detection is 8-11.5 feet for ceiling mount and 5.9-8.2 feet for wall mount.

Figure 2: Installation Methods. This diagram shows two installation options: Wall Mount with a detection range of 5.9-8.2 ft, and Ceiling Mount with a detection range of 10-20 ft and an installation height of 8-11.5 ft.
4.3 Wiring Instructions
This fixture is hardwired. Follow standard electrical wiring procedures. Connect the fixture's wires to your household wiring using the provided wire nuts. Ensure proper grounding.
- Turn off power at the circuit breaker.
- Attach the mounting bracket to your junction box (compatible with 2.75"-3.7" apart screw holes).
- Connect the black wire from the fixture to the black (live) wire from the junction box.
- Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white (neutral) wire from the junction box.
- Connect the green or bare copper (ground) wire from the fixture to the ground wire from the junction box.
- Secure the fixture to the mounting bracket.

Figure 3: Hardwired Connection. This image illustrates the hardwired installation process, showing the mounting plate, the fixture's wires (black, white, green), and their connection to household wiring within a junction box using wire nuts. Dimensions of the fixture (12 inches diameter, 0.99 inches thickness) and mounting plate screw holes (2.75"-3.7") are also shown.
5. Operating Instructions
The BLNAN motion sensor ceiling light offers three operating modes and adjustable hold times. These settings are configured using switches located near the motion sensor on the fixture.
5.1 Mode Selection
Use the mode switch to select one of the following operating modes:
- AUTO (Motion + Light Sensor): The light activates only when motion is detected and the ambient light level is low (in the dark). It will not turn on during the day.
- ON (Constant Light): The light remains continuously on, regardless of motion or ambient light.
- G (Only Motion Sensor): The light activates whenever motion is detected, regardless of the ambient light level (works both day and night).

Figure 4: Operating Modes Explained. This image visually demonstrates the functionality of each mode: 'Motion Sensor + Light Sensor' (light activates only in dark with motion), 'Always On' (light is constantly on), and 'Only Motion Sensor' (light activates with motion regardless of ambient light). Each mode also shows the adjustable delay times.
5.2 Hold Time Adjustment
Use the hold time switch to set how long the light remains on after motion is no longer detected:
- 30S: Light stays on for 30 seconds.
- 120S: Light stays on for 120 seconds (2 minutes).
- 180S: Light stays on for 180 seconds (3 minutes).

Figure 5: Sensor and Control Switches. This image highlights the location of the Light Sensor and Infrared Motion Sensor on the fixture. It also shows the three switches for 'Hold Time' (30s, 120s, 180s), '3 Modes' (AUTO, ON, G), and '3 Color Temperatures' (C N W).
The motion sensor has a detection angle of 120° and a range of 10-20 feet. The recommended installation height is 8-11.5 feet for optimal performance.

Figure 6: Motion Sensor Detection Area. This diagram illustrates the 120° detection angle of the motion sensor, the recommended installation height of 8-11.5 feet, and the resulting detection range of 10-20 feet.
6. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your BLNAN LED ceiling light, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Ensure power is off before cleaning. Wipe the fixture with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents, as these can damage the finish or electrical components.
- Inspection: Periodically check the fixture for any signs of damage or loose connections. If any issues are found, turn off power and consult a qualified electrician.
- LEDs: The integrated LED light source is designed for long life and is not user-replaceable.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your BLNAN motion sensor ceiling light, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Light does not turn on. |
|
|
| Light stays on continuously (not in ON mode). |
|
|
| Light turns off too quickly or too slowly. | Incorrect hold time setting. | Adjust the hold time switch (30S, 120S, 180S) to your preference (refer to Section 5.2). |
| Light flickers. | Loose wiring connection. | Turn off power at the circuit breaker and re-check all wiring connections. |
If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact BLNAN customer support.
