1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the GHB 5-inch 720P HD IPS Baby Monitor ABM700E. This device is designed to provide a secure and reliable way to monitor your baby with clear video and audio. It features 2.4 GHz FHSS wireless technology for privacy, a large 5-inch HD IPS display, night vision, two-way audio communication, and temperature monitoring. Please read this manual carefully before use to ensure proper operation and to keep it for future reference.

3. Product Overview

3.1 Parent Unit (Monitor)

The Parent Unit features a 5-inch HD IPS display for clear viewing. It includes buttons for navigation, volume control, two-way talk, lullaby playback, and menu access. The monitor is equipped with a 5000mAh rechargeable battery for portable use.

3.2 Baby Unit (Camera)

The Baby Unit is the camera that observes your baby. It features a 720P HD camera, infrared LEDs for night vision, a microphone for audio detection, a speaker for two-way audio and lullabies, and a temperature sensor. The camera requires continuous power from the adapter.

4. Setup

4.1 Powering On

  1. Connect the Baby Unit (Camera): Plug one power adapter into the camera and the other end into a power outlet. The camera will power on automatically.
  2. Charge/Power the Parent Unit (Monitor): Connect the second power adapter to the monitor and plug it into a power outlet. The monitor will begin charging. Press and hold the power button to turn it on.

Important Note: The camera unit must always be connected to a power source for operation. Use only the provided power adapters to ensure proper functionality and prevent damage.

4.2 Camera Placement

Place the baby unit (camera) in a location that provides a clear view of your baby's crib or play area. Ensure it is out of reach of children and that the power cable is securely routed to prevent entanglement. The camera can be placed on a flat surface, mounted on a wall, or attached to a crib using a compatible mount (sold separately).

4.3 Pairing (Automatic)

The baby unit and parent unit are pre-paired at the factory. Once both units are powered on, they should automatically connect and display the video feed. If the connection is lost or you are adding an additional camera (up to 2 cameras supported), refer to the 'Connecting Multiple Cameras' section in the operating instructions.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Monitoring

Once connected, the parent unit will display live video from the baby unit. You can adjust the volume using the dedicated buttons on the side of the monitor.

5.2 VOX Mode (Voice Operated Exchange)

VOX mode conserves battery life by turning off the monitor screen when no sound is detected from the baby's room. The screen will automatically activate when the baby unit detects sound above a certain threshold.

  • Activate/Deactivate VOX: Access the menu on the parent unit and navigate to the VOX settings to enable or disable this feature.
  • Adjust VOX Sensitivity: You can set the sensitivity level of the VOX mode to detect softer or louder sounds.

5.3 Two-Way Audio Communication

To speak to your baby, press and hold the microphone button on the parent unit. Your voice will be transmitted through the baby unit's speaker. Release the button to hear your baby again.

5.4 Night Vision

The baby unit automatically activates infrared night vision in low-light conditions. This provides a clear black and white video feed on the parent unit, allowing you to monitor your baby even in a dark room.

5.5 Temperature Monitoring

The baby unit includes a temperature sensor that displays the room temperature on the parent unit's screen. You can set temperature alerts to be notified if the room temperature goes above or below a comfortable range for your baby.

5.6 Lullabies

The monitor has built-in lullabies that can be played through the baby unit's speaker to soothe your baby. Access the lullaby function through the menu on the parent unit.

5.7 Zoom Function

The parent unit allows you to digitally zoom in on the video feed (up to 4x) to get a closer look at your baby. Use the zoom buttons on the parent unit to activate and adjust the zoom level.

5.8 Connecting Multiple Cameras

The GHB ABM700E monitor supports connecting up to two cameras. To add an additional camera, access the camera pairing menu on the parent unit and follow the on-screen instructions. Ensure the new camera is powered on and within range.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surfaces of the monitor and camera. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Care: For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the parent unit's battery frequently. Charge it regularly.
  • Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, ensure the parent unit is fully charged and store it in a cool, dry place.
  • Power Adapters: Always use the original power adapters provided with the product.
