7. Troubleshooting
- No Display/Flickering Screen:
- Ensure all DisplayPort cables are securely connected and are DisplayPort 1.4 compliant.
- Verify that the KVM switch is receiving adequate power. Connect a 5V power adapter to the "IN 5V" USB-C port, especially if using high-resolution monitors or multiple USB peripherals.
- Check the length of your DisplayPort cables. For 8K@60Hz or 4K@240Hz, shorter, certified VESA DisplayPort cables are recommended.
- Avoid using docking stations between your computers and the KVM switch, as they can introduce compatibility issues.
- USB Peripherals Not Working:
- Ensure the USB-A to USB-C data cables are correctly connected from each computer to the KVM switch's "USB Data" inputs.
- Confirm the KVM switch is powered by an external 5V adapter, especially for power-hungry USB devices like external hard drives.
- Try connecting the USB peripheral directly to the computer to rule out device-specific issues.
- Switching Delays:
- Switching between computers is not instantaneous. The monitor and operating system may take a few seconds to re-detect the signal and peripherals. This is normal behavior for KVM switches.
- Cannot Switch via Keyboard Hotkeys:
- This KVM switch does not support keyboard shortcut switching. Please use the physical button on the device or the included desktop controller to switch between computers.
