1. Product Overview

The Uthfy 2200CFM Evaporative Air Cooler (Model JH-309Y-2) is a versatile 3-in-1 unit designed to provide cooling, fan, and humidification functions. It features a powerful motor, dual water tanks, 120-degree oscillation, and a 12-hour timer for enhanced user convenience and comfort.

2. Setup Instructions

2.1 Unpacking

  • Carefully remove the air cooler and all accessories from the packaging.
  • Verify that all components are present: main unit, detachable water tank, 4 ice packs, remote control, and user manual.

2.2 Attaching Wheels

  • Gently lay the unit on its side or back to access the bottom.
  • Insert the four caster wheels into the designated slots on the bottom of the detachable water tank. Ensure they are securely fastened.
  • Return the unit to an upright position.

2.3 Filling Water Tanks

The unit features dual water fill options:

  • Top Fill: Open the top lid and pour clean water directly into the upper water reservoir.
  • Bottom Tank: Unlock and detach the 7-gallon lower water tank. Fill it with clean water and reattach it securely to the main unit.

Ensure the water level is between the 'MIN' and 'MAX' indicators on the water level window.

2.4 Adding Ice Packs

  • Fill the provided ice packs with water and place them in a freezer until completely frozen.
  • For enhanced cooling, place the frozen ice packs into the upper water reservoir after filling with water.

3. Operation

3.1 Control Panel Overview

The control panel is located on the top of the unit and features touch-sensitive buttons for various functions. An LED display shows current settings.

3.2 Using the Remote Control

Insert two AAA batteries (not included) into the remote control. The remote allows you to control all functions from a distance.

3.3 Power On/Off

  • Press the ON/OFF button on the control panel or remote to turn the unit on or off.

3.4 Selecting Modes

Press the MODE button to cycle through the available modes:

  • Cooling Mode: Activates the evaporative cooling function. Ensure water is in the tank.
  • Fan Mode: Operates as a standard fan without water evaporation.
  • Humidifier Mode: Increases humidity in the air.

3.5 Adjusting Fan Speed

Press the SPEED button to select from three fan speeds: Low, Medium, and High.

3.6 Setting the Timer

Press the TIMER button to set the operating time up to 12 hours. Each press increases the timer by one hour.

3.7 Activating Oscillation

Press the SWING button to activate the 120-degree horizontal oscillation, distributing air across a wider area. Press again to stop oscillation.

3.8 Using Ambient Light

Press the LIGHT button to turn on or off the ambient light feature, useful for nighttime operation.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Draining Water

  • Ensure the unit is powered off and unplugged.
  • Locate the drain plug at the bottom of the unit.
  • Place a suitable container under the drain plug and remove the plug to empty the water tank.
  • Once drained, replace the plug securely.

4.2 Cleaning the Water Tank

  • For thorough cleaning, detach the lower water tank as described in the Setup section.
  • Wash the tank with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly to remove any residue.
  • Allow the tank to air dry completely before reattaching it to the unit.

4.3 General Cleaning

  • Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Regularly check and clean the air filter (located at the back of the unit) to ensure optimal performance.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Uthfy Evaporative Air Cooler, please refer to the following common solutions:

  • Unit Not Turning On: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Check if the power button has been pressed.
  • No Cooling Effect: Verify that the water tank is filled to an adequate level and that the 'Cool' mode is selected. Ensure ice packs are frozen and placed in the tank for maximum effect.
  • Weak Airflow: Check if the air filter is clean and free of obstructions. Ensure the fan speed is set to a higher setting.
  • Unusual Noise: Turn off the unit and check for any foreign objects inside the air outlet or water tank. Ensure the unit is placed on a stable, flat surface.
  • Water Leakage: Ensure the detachable water tank is correctly seated and locked into place. Check that the drain plug is securely closed.
