Safety Information

Operating any air rifle requires strict adherence to safety protocols. Failure to follow these guidelines can result in serious injury or death.

  • Always treat the air rifle as if it is loaded. Never assume an air rifle is unloaded.
  • Always point the muzzle in a safe direction. A safe direction is one where an accidental discharge will not cause injury or damage.
  • Keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot. Rest your finger outside the trigger guard until your sights are on the target and you have made the decision to fire.
  • Be sure of your target and what is beyond it. Know what you are shooting at and what lies behind it. Pellets can travel significant distances.
  • Wear appropriate eye protection. Always wear safety glasses when handling or shooting the air rifle.
  • Store the air rifle unloaded and secured, separate from ammunition. Prevent unauthorized access, especially by children.
  • Keep out of reach of children. Air rifles are not toys.
  • Proposition 65 Warning: This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

Setup

Unpacking and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect the air rifle and accessories for any signs of damage that may have occurred during shipping. If any damage is found, do not attempt to use the air rifle and contact customer support immediately.

Scope Mounting

The air rifle includes an 11mm RRR (Recoil Reducing Rail) designed to protect optics from the recoil generated by powerful air rifles. Attach the included Gamo 3-9x40 scope to the RRR rail using the provided mounts. Ensure the scope is securely fastened and aligned according to the scope's specific instructions for optimal performance.

Loading the 10X GEN3i Magazine

The 10X GEN3i system features a horizontal inertia-fed magazine, allowing for rapid follow-up shots. To load, remove the magazine from its slot. Insert pellets into each chamber, ensuring they are seated correctly. Reinsert the loaded magazine into the air rifle until it clicks into place. The magazine indexes automatically using the recoil force from each shot.

Operating Instructions

Cocking the Air Rifle

Before cocking, ensure the safety is engaged and the muzzle is pointed in a safe direction. Grasp the barrel firmly and pull it downwards with a swift, continuous motion until it locks into the cocked position. This action compresses the IGT Mach 1 gas piston, which is a key component for the rifle's power. Return the barrel to its original position, ensuring it is fully closed and latched.

Loading Pellets

If using the 10X GEN3i magazine, ensure it is loaded and properly inserted as described in the Setup section. The magazine will automatically feed the next pellet upon cocking. For single-shot use (if the magazine is removed or bypassed), carefully insert a single pellet directly into the breech opening after cocking the rifle.

Firing Procedure

With the air rifle cocked and loaded, and the muzzle pointed at your intended target, disengage the safety. Place your finger on the trigger and apply steady, even pressure to fire the air rifle. The integrated Whisper Fusion sound suppression system is designed to reduce muzzle noise during discharge.

Safety Mechanism

The air rifle is equipped with a manual safety. Always engage the safety when the air rifle is loaded, cocked, or not actively being fired. Familiarize yourself with the safety's operation before use.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and consistent performance of your air rifle.

  • Cleaning the Barrel: Periodically clean the barrel to remove lead residue and debris, which can affect accuracy. Use a cleaning rod with appropriate patches and air rifle cleaning solvent.
  • Lubrication: Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to pivot points and moving parts as needed. Avoid applying oil to the barrel bore or breech seal, as this can cause damage or affect performance.
  • External Cleaning: Wipe down the exterior of the air rifle with a clean, soft cloth after each use to remove dirt, moisture, and fingerprints.
  • Storage: Store the air rifle in a cool, dry place, unloaded and with the safety engaged. Consider using a gun case for protection during storage and transport.

Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your air rifle.

  • Inconsistent Accuracy: Check for loose scope mounts or rings. Ensure you are using high-quality, consistent pellets. A dirty barrel can also cause accuracy issues; clean the barrel as described in the Maintenance section. Inconsistent cocking force can also lead to varied shot placement.
  • Difficulty Cocking: The Gamo Swarm Magnum PRO requires approximately 41 lbs of cocking effort. If cocking becomes excessively difficult, or if you hear unusual grinding noises, cease operation and consult the manufacturer's support.
  • Pellet Feeding Issues (10X GEN3i Magazine): Ensure the magazine is correctly loaded with pellets and fully inserted into its slot. Inspect the magazine for any visible damage or obstructions. Ensure pellets are not deformed.
  • Reduced Power/Velocity: This could indicate a worn breech seal or internal component issue. Contact customer support for diagnosis and repair.
