5. Setup

Proper setup is crucial for the efficient operation of your air conditioner.

5.1 Placement

  • Place the unit on a firm, level surface in the room you wish to cool.
  • Ensure there is at least 30 cm (12 inches) of space around the unit for proper airflow.
  • Avoid placing the unit near heat sources or in direct sunlight.

5.2 Exhaust Hose Installation

  1. Attach one end of the exhaust hose to the air outlet on the back of the unit. Twist clockwise to secure.
  2. Extend the exhaust hose to the nearest window or opening. Avoid bending or kinking the hose, as this can reduce efficiency.

5.3 Window Sealing Kit Installation

The window sealing kit helps to prevent hot air from re-entering the room and improves cooling efficiency.

  1. Open the window and adjust the window sealing plate to fit the opening. Secure it in place.
  2. Insert the flat end of the exhaust hose into the opening of the window sealing plate.
  3. Close the window as much as possible to seal around the plate and hose.

6. Operating Instructions

Your mobile air conditioner can be operated using the control panel on the unit or the remote control.

6.1 Power On/Off

  • Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
  • Press the POWER button on the control panel or remote control to turn the unit on or off.

6.2 Mode Selection

Press the MODE button to cycle through the available modes:

  • Cool Mode: For cooling the room. The compressor will operate.
  • Fan Mode: Circulates air without cooling.
  • Dehumidify Mode: Reduces humidity in the air.

6.3 Temperature Adjustment (Cool Mode Only)

  • In Cool Mode, use the UP and DOWN arrows to set your desired temperature between 16°C and 31°C.

6.4 Fan Speed Adjustment (Cool and Fan Modes)

  • Press the FAN SPEED button to select between High and Low fan speeds.

6.5 Timer Function

  • Press the TIMER button to set the desired operating duration (1-24 hours). The unit will automatically turn off or on after the set time.

6.6 Sleep Mode

  • Press the SLEEP button for quieter operation and reduced energy consumption during sleep. The fan speed will automatically adjust to low.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficiency of your air conditioner.

7.1 Cleaning the Air Filter

The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage.

  1. Unplug the unit from the power outlet.
  2. Locate the air filter panel (usually on the back or side of the unit).
  3. Remove the filter.
  4. Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to air dry completely before reinserting.
  5. Reinstall the dry filter and close the panel.

7.2 Draining Condensed Water

During cooling and dehumidifying operations, water will condense inside the unit. The unit has a self-evaporating system, but in high humidity conditions, the water tank may fill up. When full, the unit will stop operating and display an error code (refer to troubleshooting).

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Place a shallow pan or tray under the drain outlet at the bottom rear of the unit.
  3. Remove the drain plug. Water will flow out.
  4. Once all water has drained, replace the drain plug securely.

7.3 Storage

If storing the unit for an extended period:

  • Drain all condensed water completely.
  • Clean the air filter.
  • Store the unit in a dry, upright position, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
