Product Overview

The OHAYO S11 speaker features a robust design with intuitive controls and integrated lighting. Familiarize yourself with the speaker's components:

  • Power Button: Press and hold to turn the speaker on or off.
  • Play/Pause Button: Controls media playback.
  • Volume Up / Next Track Button: Short press for volume up, long press for next track.
  • Volume Down / Previous Track Button: Short press for volume down, long press for previous track.

Setup

1. Charging the Speaker

Before first use, fully charge the speaker. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the speaker's USB-C charging port and the other end to a compatible USB power adapter (not included).

  • The charging indicator light will show charging status.
  • A full charge typically takes approximately 3-4 hours.

2. Powering On/Off

Press and hold the Power Button for 2-3 seconds to turn the speaker on or off. A sound prompt will indicate the power status.

3. Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Turn on the speaker. It will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by a flashing blue LED light.
  2. On your device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "OHAYO S11" from the list of devices.
  4. Once paired, the LED indicator will turn solid blue, and you will hear a confirmation sound.

4. TWS (True Wireless Stereo) Pairing

To achieve stereo sound, you can pair two OHAYO S11 speakers together:

  1. Ensure both S11 speakers are powered on and not connected to any other Bluetooth device.
  2. On one speaker, press the Bluetooth/Mode Button twice. It will enter TWS pairing mode.
  3. The two speakers will automatically connect to each other. A confirmation sound will indicate successful TWS pairing.
  4. Once TWS paired, connect your device to one of the speakers via Bluetooth as described in step 3. Both speakers will then play audio in stereo.

Note: The latest version of the S11 speaker may not be TWS-compatible with older versions. Check the serial number to identify your version if issues arise.

Operating Instructions

1. Basic Controls

  • Play/Pause: Short press the Play/Pause Button.
  • Volume Up: Short press the Volume Up Button.
  • Volume Down: Short press the Volume Down Button.
  • Next Track: Long press the Volume Up Button.
  • Previous Track: Long press the Volume Down Button.

2. Light Modes

The speaker features an integrated ambient light with unique themes and color options. Press the Light Button to cycle through different light modes or to turn the lights off. The selected mode will be saved.

3. Answering Calls

With the built-in microphone, you can answer calls when connected via Bluetooth:

  • Answer Call: Short press the Play/Pause Button.
  • End Call: Short press the Play/Pause Button during a call.
  • Reject Call: Long press the Play/Pause Button.

4. AUX Mode

Connect an audio device directly to the speaker using a 3.5mm AUX cable (not included) via the AUX-in port. The speaker will automatically switch to AUX mode. Use your connected device to control playback and volume in this mode.

Maintenance

1. Waterproofing (IPX6)

The OHAYO S11 speaker is IPX6 waterproof, meaning it is protected against high-pressure water jets from any direction. It is suitable for use outdoors, near pools, or in the shower. However, it is not designed for submersion in water. Ensure the charging port and AUX port covers are securely closed before exposing the speaker to water.

2. Cleaning

Wipe the speaker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, alcohol, or chemical solvents, as these may damage the surface or internal components.

3. Storage

Store the speaker in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, charge the battery every 3 months to maintain its lifespan.

Troubleshooting

  • Speaker will not turn on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the speaker to a power source using the USB-C cable and try again.
  • Cannot pair with Bluetooth device:
    • Ensure the speaker is in pairing mode (flashing blue LED).
    • Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and it is within range (up to 66 feet).
    • Forget "OHAYO S11" from your device's Bluetooth list and try pairing again.
    • Restart both the speaker and your device.
    • If connecting to a Windows 11 laptop, ensure all Bluetooth drivers are updated and the laptop's Bluetooth adapter is functioning correctly.
  • No sound or low volume:
    • Adjust the volume on both the speaker and your connected device.
    • Ensure the speaker is not muted.
    • If using AUX mode, ensure the cable is fully inserted and functional.
  • TWS pairing fails:
    • Ensure both speakers are disconnected from any other Bluetooth devices before initiating TWS pairing.
    • Make sure both speakers are the same model (S11) and compatible versions.
    • Place speakers close to each other during pairing.
  • Battery drains quickly:
    • High volume levels and continuous use of the light show will reduce battery life.
    • Ensure the speaker is fully charged before use.
