1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the DERCASS Low Loft Bed with Step Staircase, Shelving, Cabinets, and LED Lights. This manual provides important information regarding the assembly, safe use, and maintenance of your new bed. Please read these instructions carefully before assembly and retain them for future reference.

This loft bed is designed to provide a functional sleeping and storage solution, featuring a sturdy wooden frame, integrated step staircase, shelving, cabinets, and decorative LED lighting. It is suitable for a full-size mattress.

2. Safety Information

WARNING: Failure to follow these warnings and instructions could result in serious injury or death.

• Always follow the manufacturer's recommended assembly instructions.
• Ensure all parts are securely fastened before use. Periodically check and tighten all connections.
• Do not allow children under 6 years of age on the upper bunk.
• Use only a mattress that is 6 inches thick or less to ensure proper guardrail height.
• The maximum weight capacity for this bed is 550 lbs. Do not exceed this limit.
• Do not attach or hang items to any part of the bed structure that are not designed for use with the bed, for example, but not limited to, hooks, belts, or jump ropes.
• Keep children away from the assembly area during construction.
• Always use the provided step staircase for access to the bed. Do not climb on other parts of the bed structure.
• Ensure the bed is placed on a level surface.

3. Parts List

Before beginning assembly, ensure all parts are present and undamaged. Refer to the detailed parts list included in your product packaging for specific component identification. The main components include:

• Bed Frame components (Pine Wood, MDF, Plywood)
• Step Staircase components
• Shelving units
• Cabinet components
• LED Light string
• Slats for mattress support

4. Setup & Assembly

Assembly of the DERCASS Low Loft Bed requires two adults. Please follow the step-by-step instructions provided in the separate assembly manual included in your product packaging. All parts are clearly labeled, and pre-drilled holes facilitate the assembly process.

Tools Required: A Phillips head screwdriver and an Allen wrench (often included with hardware).

Assembly Steps Overview:

1. Unpack all components and verify against the parts list.
2. Assemble the main bed frame structure.
3. Attach the step staircase.
4. Install the shelving and cabinet units.
5. Place the mattress slats onto the bed frame.
6. Install the LED light string as desired around the canopy or roof edge.
7. Ensure all connections are tight and secure before use.

5. Operation

5.1 Using the Bed

The loft bed is designed for sleeping. Ensure a full-size mattress (maximum 6 inches thick) is placed securely on the slats. Always use the step staircase for safe access to and from the bed.

5.2 Using the LED Lights

The included LED light string can be draped around the canopy or roof edge of the bed frame. Connect the lights to a suitable power source as per the separate LED light instructions. These lights are for decorative purposes and to stimulate imagination.

5.3 Using the Storage

The bed features two shelves with dividers and a small storage cabinet. These are designed for storing books, toys, clothes, or other personal items. Ensure items are placed securely and do not overload the shelves or cabinets.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

To clean the bed frame, wipe with a dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these may damage the wood finish. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth followed by a dry cloth can be used.

6.2 Inspection

Periodically inspect all bolts, screws, and connections to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten as necessary to maintain the bed's stability and safety. Check for any signs of wear or damage to the wood components or LED lights. If any damage is found, discontinue use and contact customer support.

9.1 Manufacturer's Warranty

This DERCASS product comes with a 1-year manufacturer's warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. It does not cover damage resulting from improper assembly, misuse, abuse, accident, or normal wear and tear.
