1. Introduction
This manual provides instructions for the safe and efficient operation of your Klanata 3000W Single Phase Voltage Transformer. This device is designed for step-up and step-down voltage conversion, allowing various electrical equipment to operate across different voltage standards. Please read this manual thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference.
2. Safety Precautions
Always observe the following safety guidelines to prevent electric shock, fire, or damage to the unit and connected equipment:
- Read all instructions: Before operating the transformer, read and understand all safety and operating instructions.
- Single Phase Only: This unit is designed for single-phase power systems only. Do not connect to three-phase power. Connecting to a three-phase supply will cause severe damage to the unit and connected devices.
- Correct Voltage Selection: Ensure the input voltage switch on the rear of the unit is set correctly for your local power supply (110V or 230V) before plugging in the transformer. Incorrect selection can damage the unit.
- Power Capacity: Do not exceed the maximum output power of 3000W. Overloading the transformer can lead to overheating and damage.
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. Do not block ventilation openings.
- Dry Environment: Use the transformer in a dry environment. Do not expose it to water, rain, or excessive humidity.
- Grounding: Ensure the transformer is properly grounded.
- Children and Pets: Keep the unit out of reach of children and pets.
- Disconnection: Always disconnect the transformer from the power source before cleaning or performing any maintenance.

5. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your voltage transformer:
- Unpack the Unit: Carefully remove the transformer and all accessories from the packaging. Inspect for any signs of damage.
- Placement: Place the transformer on a stable, flat, and dry surface. Ensure there is sufficient space around the unit for proper ventilation. Do not place it near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
- Identify Input Voltage: Determine the voltage of your local power supply (e.g., 110V or 230V).
- Select Input Voltage: Locate the input voltage selector switch on the rear panel of the transformer. Set the switch to match your local power supply voltage (110V or 230V). This step is critical to prevent damage.
- Connect Power Cord: Plug the provided power cord into the AC INPUT socket on the rear of the transformer.
- Connect to Wall Outlet: Plug the other end of the power cord into a grounded wall outlet. Do not turn on the transformer yet.

6. Operating Instructions
Once the transformer is set up, follow these steps for operation:
- Connect Appliances: Plug your appliance(s) into the appropriate output sockets on the front panel of the transformer.
- Use "OUTPUT 110V" sockets for devices requiring 110-120V.
- Use "OUTPUT 230V" sockets for devices requiring 220-240V.
- Power On: Flip the ON/OFF switch on the front panel to the "ON" position. The power indicator light should illuminate.
- Monitor Operation: Observe your connected appliances to ensure they are functioning correctly.
- Power Off: When finished, first turn off all connected appliances. Then, flip the ON/OFF switch on the transformer to the "OFF" position.
- Disconnect: Unplug the transformer from the wall outlet if it will not be used for an extended period.

7. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your transformer:
- Cleaning: Disconnect the unit from the power source before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Ventilation: Periodically check that the ventilation openings are clear of dust and debris. Use a soft brush or compressed air to clean them if necessary.
- Fuse Replacement: If the unit stops working, the fuse may have blown due to an overload.
- Disconnect the transformer from the wall outlet.
- Locate the fuse holder on the rear panel (refer to Figure 5.1).
- Unscrew the fuse cap and carefully remove the old fuse.
- Replace it with a new fuse of the same type and rating (e.g., 15A or 20A, depending on the model and input voltage). Refer to the label near the fuse holder for the correct rating.
- Screw the fuse cap back into place.
- Storage: Store the transformer in a cool, dry place when not in use.
