Setup Instructions

The GOLABS BT1 beach tent features a pre-attached pole system for quick and easy assembly.

  1. Unpack the Tent: Remove the tent from its carry bag and lay it flat on a clear, open surface.
  2. Lift and Lock: Grasp the center pole mechanism and gently lift upwards. The pre-attached poles will extend and lock into place automatically. Press down firmly on the central hub to ensure it is fully engaged.
  3. Secure the Corners: Extend the tent's corners and ensure they are spread out evenly.
  4. Anchor with Sandbags: For stability, especially in windy conditions, locate the six integrated sandbags around the base of the tent. Fill each sandbag with 3-6 kg (approximately 6-13 lbs) of sand. This will firmly anchor the tent.
  5. Adjust as Needed: Make any final adjustments to the tent's position and tension to ensure maximum stability and shade coverage.

Operating Features

The GOLABS BT1 tent is designed with several features to enhance your outdoor experience.

  • UPF 50+ Sun Protection: The silver-coated 210T taffeta fabric provides excellent protection against harmful UV rays.
  • Detachable Floor Mat: The tent includes a floor mat with quick-release buckles. This mat can be used inside the tent for a clean surface or detached and used as a standalone ground sheet.
  • Mesh Windows for Airflow and View: Three sides of the tent feature mesh panels, allowing for clear views and optimal ventilation to keep the interior cool.
  • Privacy Option: For privacy, such as changing clothes, simply close the zippered door and curtains. These can be rolled up again for an open setup and maximum airflow.
  • Internal Storage: Utilize the integrated storage pocket for small items and the sturdy gear hook (capacity: 3kg) for hanging lightweight objects.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: After each use, gently wipe down the tent fabric with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners.
  • Drying: Ensure the tent is completely dry before folding and storing to prevent mildew and fabric degradation. Air dry in a shaded area.
  • Storage: Fold the tent compactly into its original carry bag. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting

Tent is unstable in wind:
Ensure all six sandbags are fully filled with sand and spread out to maximize anchoring. In extremely strong winds, consider using additional ground stakes (not included) or relocating the tent to a more sheltered position.
Difficulty folding the tent:
Folding pop-up tents can require practice. Refer to the folding instructions provided on the product packaging or search for general pop-up tent folding tutorials online. Ensure all poles are disengaged before attempting to fold.
Mesh windows are blocked:
Check if the privacy curtains are closed. Roll them up and secure them with the attached toggles to open the mesh windows for airflow and clear views.
