1. Introduction

The Tomate MTM-909 Portable Digital TV is a compact and lightweight 9-inch television designed for versatile entertainment. It features an integrated ISDB-T digital tuner for receiving free-to-air channels, a rechargeable internal battery for portable use, and multimedia playback capabilities via USB and MicroSD. 3. Product Overview

3.1. Rear Panel Connections

The rear panel of the TV provides various ports for connectivity. Refer to the image below for identification.

  • Antenna Input: Connect the external antenna for digital TV signal reception.

4. Setup

4.1. Charging the Battery

  1. Connect the power adapter to the DC IN port on the TV.
  2. Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet (100-240V).
  3. The charging indicator will illuminate. Allow sufficient time for a full charge before initial portable use.

4.2. Connecting the Antenna

  1. For optimal digital TV reception, connect the provided external antenna to the Antenna Input port.
  2. Position the antenna for the best possible signal.

4.3. Powering On/Off

  1. Press and hold the power button (usually located on the side or bottom) to turn the TV on or off.
  2. Alternatively, use the power button on the remote control.

4.4. Initial Channel Scan

  1. Upon first power-on, the TV may prompt you to perform an automatic channel scan. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  2. If not prompted, press the MENU button on the remote or TV, navigate to the 'Channel' or 'Setup' menu, and select 'Auto Scan' or 'Channel Search'.
  3. Ensure the antenna is properly connected and positioned during the scan.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Basic TV Operation

  • Channel Selection: Use the CH+/CH- buttons on the remote or the up/down arrows on the TV to change channels. You can also enter channel numbers directly using the remote's numeric keypad.
  • Volume Adjustment: Use the VOL+/VOL- buttons on the remote or the left/right arrows on the TV to adjust the volume.
  • Mute: Press the MUTE button on the remote to mute or unmute the sound.
  • Input Source: Press the SOURCE button on the remote or TV to cycle through available input sources (TV, AV, USB, MicroSD).

5.2. Media Playback (USB/MicroSD)

  1. Insert a USB flash drive into the USB Port or a MicroSD card into the TV Card Slot.
  2. Press the SOURCE button and select 'USB' or 'MicroSD'.
  3. Navigate through the folders and files using the arrow buttons on the remote or TV.
  4. Select the desired media file (video, music, or image) and press ENTER to play/view.
  5. Supported formats include:
    Video: DIVX, MP4, 3GP, MOV, FLV, MPEG, AVI, VOB, MPEG4, MKV
    Audio: MP3, WMA, M4A, AAC, OGG
    Image: JPG, PNG, BMP

5.3. PVR Recording

The PVR function allows you to record digital TV programs to a connected USB storage device.

  1. Ensure a formatted USB flash drive is inserted into the USB Port.
  2. While watching a digital TV channel, press the 'Record' button (often indicated by a red dot) on the remote control to start recording.
  3. Press the 'Stop' button (often indicated by a square) to end the recording.
  4. Recorded programs can be accessed and played back via the 'USB' source, usually within a 'PVR' or 'Record' folder.

5.4. AV Input Connection

Connect external devices such as DVD players or older gaming consoles using the AV input.

  1. Connect the AV cable (yellow for video, white for left audio, red for right audio) from your external device to the AV IN ports on the TV.
  2. Press the SOURCE button and select 'AV'.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the screen and exterior of the TV. For stubborn marks, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. If storing the TV for an extended period, charge it to approximately 50% every few months.
  • Storage: Store the TV in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Antenna: Handle the antenna carefully to prevent damage.

7. Troubleshooting
