1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the JAMFLY 12x20 FT Heavy Duty Carport. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient assembly, operation, and maintenance of your new carport. Please read these instructions thoroughly before beginning assembly and retain them for future reference.
This heavy-duty carport features a premium galvanized steel powder-coated tubing frame and a metal roof designed to provide superior protection for vehicles against sun, rain, wind, and snow. Its robust construction makes it suitable for various uses, including vehicle storage and as an activity shelter.
2. Safety Information
WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions may result in serious injury or property damage.
- Always ensure the carport is securely fastened to a stable foundation.
- Tighten all fasteners during installation and regularly check for any loose parts.
- Do not use the carport in high winds or during severe weather conditions. Disassemble or secure the structure appropriately if extreme weather is anticipated.
- The addition of soft and abrasion-resistant rubber trim around the edge of the roof enhances overall safety and protection from potential scratches or injuries during assembly and use.
- Ensure the installation surface is level to maintain structural integrity and stability.
- Keep children and pets away from the assembly area.
- Wear appropriate safety gear, including gloves and eye protection, during assembly.
3. Package Contents

4. Setup and Assembly Instructions
Assembly requires at least 2-3 people and can take several hours. A second set of tools may be beneficial for bolts.
- Site Preparation: Select a level surface for installation. The carport's base is designed for enhanced stability on diverse surfaces such as gravel, asphalt, concrete, or grass.
- Unpacking: Carefully unpack all components and verify against the parts list. Remove any protective films from panels.
- Frame Assembly: Begin by assembling the main frame structure. The design incorporates an upgraded triangle frame for increased stability.
- Roof Panel Installation: Install the galvanized steel roof panels. These panels are thicker for high load-bearing capacity and easier installation. Ensure all seams are properly aligned and sealed to prevent leaks. Consider using high-temperature silicone sealant for enhanced waterproofing.
- Reinforced Base and Anchoring: Secure the reinforced base to the ground using appropriate anchors for your chosen surface. This provides integral structural support.
- Ground Reinforcing Poles: For improved stability on relatively uneven ground, such as gravel, install ground reinforcing poles. If installing side metal panels, cut holes where these poles will go.
- Final Inspection: After assembly, ensure all fasteners are tightened and secured. Regularly check for any loose connections.

5. Operating Instructions (Usage)
The JAMFLY Carport is designed for versatile use:
- Vehicle Protection: Provides ample room for cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles, and tractors, shielding them from environmental elements.
- Multi-purpose Shelter: Can also be used as an activity shelter for outdoor events such as parties, weddings, and commercial fairs.
- Storage: Offers additional space for bikes, lawn tools, and other equipment.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safety of your carport.
- Fastener Check: Periodically inspect all bolts and connections to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten as necessary.
- Cleaning: Clean the roof and frame regularly to remove dirt, debris, and leaves. Use mild soap and water; avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Snow Removal: In areas with heavy snowfall, regularly remove accumulated snow from the roof to prevent excessive load. The 135° steep-sloped roof is designed to handle 50% more weight than many carports, but excessive accumulation should still be avoided.
- Rust Inspection: Inspect the galvanized steel frame and roof for any signs of rust or damage. Touch up any scratches or exposed metal with rust-inhibiting paint to prevent corrosion.
- Ground Anchoring: Verify that ground anchors remain secure, especially after strong winds or heavy rain.

7. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Carport feels unstable or wobbly. | Loose fasteners; uneven ground; insufficient anchoring. | Ensure all bolts are securely tightened. Verify the ground is level. Re-secure or add more ground anchors. |
| Water leaks from the roof. | Improperly sealed roof panel seams; damaged roof panel. | Inspect roof panel overlaps and seams. Apply a suitable sealant (e.g., high-temp silicone) to all joints. Check for any damage to panels and replace if necessary. |
| Missing parts upon delivery. | Shipping error; multiple boxes not yet arrived. | Confirm all 3 boxes have arrived. Refer to the parts list in the assembly guide. Contact customer service if parts are still missing after checking. |
