Operating Instructions

Once connected and powered on, you can begin adjusting your audio.

  1. Initial Settings: Start with all equalizer knobs (60Hz to 15kHz) set to their center (0) position. Set the "VOLUME" knob to a low level.
  2. Play Audio: Begin playing audio from your connected source.
  3. Adjust Volume: Slowly increase the "VOLUME" knob to your desired listening level.
  4. Equalization Adjustment:
    • Rotate the individual frequency knobs to boost (turn clockwise) or cut (turn counter-clockwise) specific frequency bands by up to ±12dB.
    • Experiment with different settings to achieve your preferred sound profile. For example, increase 60Hz and 150Hz for more bass, or 6.5kHz and 15kHz for more treble.
    • The 1kHz and 2.5kHz bands control the clarity and presence of vocals and instruments.
  5. Headphone Use: When using headphones, the headphone output will also be affected by the equalizer settings. The built-in NE5532 based amplifier ensures compatibility with various headphone types.
  6. 3.5mm Input with Microphone (Smartphone): If using a 4-pole 3.5mm input from a smartphone, the equalizer supports output to headsets with microphones, enabling seamless voice calls.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the equalizer in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the unit has adequate airflow around it to prevent heat buildup.
