5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To clean the camera cage and hand grip, use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap can be used, followed by thorough drying. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the finish.

5.2 Storage

Store the kit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure all components are clean and dry before storage. If storing for extended periods, consider detaching the hand grip from the cage.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Hand Grip Not Attaching Securely

  • Check Alignment: Ensure the quick-release mechanism on the grip is perfectly aligned with the slot on the cage.
  • Clear Obstructions: Verify there are no foreign objects or debris preventing a secure connection.
  • Apply Firm Pressure: Push the grip firmly until you hear a click, indicating it is locked.

6.2 Accidental Recording

  • Engage Locking Dial: Always ensure the locking dial is set to the 'lock' position when not actively recording or when transporting the camera.
  • Check Button Cap: Ensure the button cap is properly seated and not stuck in a depressed position.
