3. Setup and Assembly

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts listed in the packing list are present. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.

3.2 Unfolding the Tricycle

The ES11 features a quick one-step folding mechanism. To unfold, release the locking mechanism and extend the frame until it clicks into place. Ensure all locking pins are engaged for safe operation.

3.3 Battery Installation

The ES11 comes with a removable 48V 10.4Ah lithium-ion battery. To install, slide the battery into its designated compartment located under the seat until it locks securely. Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use.

3.4 Basket Attachment

The removable basket can be attached to the front of the tricycle for carrying personal items. Align the basket's hooks with the mounting points on the handlebars and secure it firmly.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the 'ON' position to power on the tricycle. The display will illuminate. To power off, turn the key to the 'OFF' position and remove it.

4.2 Speed Modes

The ES11 offers multiple speed settings to suit various riding conditions:

  • Shopping Mode: A gentle speed of 1.6 km/h, ideal for crowded areas like stores or sidewalks.
  • Adjustable Speeds: Three additional speeds are available: 5 km/h, 11 km/h, and 24 km/h. Use the control panel to switch between these modes.

4.3 Throttle and Brakes

Use the throttle on the right handlebar to accelerate. Apply the brake levers on both handlebars to slow down or stop. The ES11 is equipped with a dual drum brake system for reliable stopping power.

4.4 Reverse Function

A dedicated reverse button (3 km/h) is located on the control panel for easy maneuvering in tight spaces.

4.5 Riding Tips

  • Start in a low-speed mode until you are comfortable with the tricycle's operation.
  • Maintain a safe distance from other vehicles and pedestrians.
  • Be aware of your surroundings and potential hazards.

5. Battery Information

5.1 Charging the Battery

The 48V 10.4Ah lithium-ion battery can be charged while installed on the tricycle or removed. Connect the charger to the battery's charging port and then plug it into a standard wall outlet. The charging indicator on the charger will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes 5-6 hours.

5.2 Battery Care

  • Avoid completely draining the battery before recharging.
  • Store the battery in a cool, dry place when not in use.
  • If storing for an extended period, charge the battery to approximately 50-70% every 2-3 months.
  • Use only the official TopMate charger provided with your tricycle.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

Wipe down the tricycle with a damp cloth after use. Avoid using high-pressure water jets or harsh chemicals, which can damage electronic components.

6.2 Tire Care

Regularly check the tire pressure and inflate to the recommended PSI (refer to the tire sidewall for details). Inspect tires for wear and tear, and replace them if necessary. The 10-inch tires are designed for various road conditions.
