Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your Garvee Portable Air Conditioner.
Filter Cleaning
The unit features a removable and washable filter that traps dust and particles. Clean the filter regularly (every two weeks or more often depending on usage) to maintain air quality and cooling efficiency.
- Unplug the air conditioner from the power outlet.
- Locate and remove the air filter from the back or side of the unit.
- Rinse the filter under running water to remove accumulated dust. For heavy dirt, use a mild detergent and soft brush.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinstalling it. Do not expose to direct sunlight.
- Reinstall the dry filter into the unit.
Water Drainage
This unit features an advanced self-evaporating system that reduces the need for manual water draining. However, in high humidity conditions or when operating in Dehumidifier mode, some water may accumulate.

Image: Explanation of the self-evaporation system, which minimizes manual water drainage.
- If the internal water tank becomes full, the unit will stop operating and display an error code (e.g., 'FL' or 'E4').
- To drain, place a shallow pan or bucket under the drainage port located at the bottom rear of the unit.
- Remove the drain plug and allow water to flow out.
- For continuous drainage, attach the provided drainage hose to the middle drainage port and direct it to a floor drain or suitable container.
Storage
When storing the unit for an extended period:
- Drain all accumulated water from the unit.
- Clean the air filter.
- Store the unit in an upright position in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
