  • Antenna: For transmitting and receiving signals.

Setup

1. Battery Installation and Charging

  1. Ensure the radio is powered off.
  2. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the radio.
  3. Insert the Li-ion battery, ensuring the contacts align correctly.
  4. Slide the battery into place until it clicks securely.
  5. Connect the USB charging cable to the radio's charging port and the power adapter.
  6. Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet. The indicator light will show charging status.
  7. Charge the battery fully before first use (approximately a few hours). The radio will indicate when charging is complete.

2. Attaching the Belt Clip

  1. Align the belt clip with the designated slots on the back of the radio.
  2. Press firmly until the clip locks into place.
  3. To remove, gently lift the tab and slide the clip off.

Operation

1. Power On/Off and Volume Adjustment

  • To power on, rotate the Power Knob clockwise until you hear a click and a voice prompt.
  • To power off, rotate the Power Knob counter-clockwise until you hear a click.
  • Adjust the volume by rotating the Power Knob clockwise (increase) or counter-clockwise (decrease).

2. Channel Selection

  • Use the UP and Down keys on the side of the radio to cycle through the available 16 channels.
  • A voice prompt will announce the selected channel number.
  • Ensure all radios in your group are set to the same channel for communication.

3. Transmitting and Receiving

  • To transmit, press and hold the PTT (Push-to-Talk) key. Speak clearly into the microphone (located near the PTT key).
  • Release the PTT key to stop transmitting and return to receive mode.
  • When receiving a transmission, the radio will automatically play the incoming audio.

Maintenance

1. Battery Care

  • Fully charge the battery before initial use.
  • Avoid overcharging or completely draining the battery for optimal lifespan.
  • Store the radio and battery in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
  • If the radio indicates "Please check your battery," it requires charging.

2. Cleaning

  • Wipe the radio's exterior with a soft, damp cloth.

  • Ensure the charging port and headphone jack are free of dust and debris.
