2. Setup

2.1 Unpacking and Initial Inspection

  • Carefully remove the scale from its packaging.
  • Inspect the scale for any signs of damage. If damaged, do not use and contact customer support.
  • Ensure all components are present: the scale unit, stainless steel tray, and AC adapter.

2.2 Power Supply

The KW-210-05 scale can be powered by two methods:

  • AC Adapter: Connect the included AC adapter to the scale's power port and plug it into a standard electrical outlet.
  • Batteries: The scale can also operate on 4 AA batteries (not included). Open the battery compartment, insert the batteries according to the polarity indicators, and close the compartment.

Note: While the scale is waterproof, using it with the AC adapter connected in wet environments may compromise its waterproof integrity. For optimal waterproof performance, operate on battery power in high humidity or wet conditions.

2.3 Placement

Place the scale on a firm, flat, and stable surface to ensure accurate measurements. Avoid placing it near strong electromagnetic fields or areas with significant vibrations.

2.4 Attaching the Tray

Place the removable stainless steel tray securely onto the weighing platform. The tray is designed for easy placement and removal.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Power On/Off

  • To power off the scale, press and hold the ON/OFF button until the display turns off. The scale may also feature an auto-off function to conserve power.

3.2 Unit Selection

The scale can display measurements in pounds/ounces (lb/oz) or grams (g).

  • Press the UNIT button to toggle between the available measurement units.
  • The selected unit will be indicated on the extra-large LCD display.

3.3 Tare Function

The tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container or previous ingredients, enabling you to measure subsequent items accurately.

  • Place an empty container on the weighing platform.
  • Press the TARE button. The display will reset to zero.
  • Add the item(s) you wish to weigh into the container. The display will show only the net weight of the added item(s).
