1. Introduction

2. Safety Guidelines

Your safety is paramount. Always wear a helmet and appropriate safety gear when riding. Familiarize yourself with local traffic laws and regulations regarding electric bicycles. Perform a pre-ride inspection before each use.

2.1 General Safety Precautions

  • Always wear a certified helmet.
  • Ensure all components are securely fastened before riding.
  • Do not ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Be aware of your surroundings and traffic.
  • Avoid riding in adverse weather conditions.

2.2 Battery Safety

  • Use only the provided charger.
  • Do not expose the battery to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight.
  • Avoid puncturing or damaging the battery.
  • Keep the battery away from children and pets.

3. Package Contents

Upon opening the package, verify that all components are present and undamaged. The WERHY Y6PRO Electric Bike comes mostly pre-assembled, but some minor assembly is required.

4. Setup & Assembly

Follow these steps to prepare your WERHY Y6PRO Electric Bike for its first ride. It is recommended to perform these steps in a clear, open area.

4.1 Unpacking and Initial Inspection

  1. Carefully remove the bike from its packaging.
  2. Remove all protective foam and zip ties.
  3. Inspect the bike for any visible damage during transit.

4.2 Handlebar Installation

  1. Unfold the handlebar stem to an upright position.
  2. Secure the folding latch firmly.
  3. Adjust the handlebars to your preferred angle and ensure the locking clasp is centered and tight.

4.3 Front Fender Installation

  1. Unscrew the two screws located on the front wheel frame.
  2. Position the front fender and align its bracket with the screw holes.
  3. Re-insert and tighten the screws to secure the fender.

4.4 Front Wheel Installation

Note: The bike may come with the front wheel already installed. If not, follow these steps.

  1. Remove the screws and the front wheel support protector from the frame.
  2. Remove the screws and washers from both sides of the front wheel axle.
  3. Carefully align the front wheel with the fork, ensuring the brake disc is correctly positioned within the caliper.
  4. Re-install the washers and nuts in the correct sequence (buckle washer, ordinary washer, nut) and tighten them securely.

4.5 Seat Installation

  1. Flip the bike upright.
  2. Insert the seat post into the frame.
  3. Adjust the seat height to a comfortable riding position.
  4. Secure the seat post by locking the quick-release buckle.

4.6 Pedal Installation

Important: Pedals are marked 'L' for left and 'R' for right. Install them on the corresponding crank arms. The 'L' pedal tightens counter-clockwise, and the 'R' pedal tightens clockwise.

  1. Identify the left pedal ('L') and screw it into the left crank arm (usually on the non-chain side) by turning counter-clockwise.
  2. Identify the right pedal ('R') and screw it into the right crank arm (on the chain side) by turning clockwise.
  3. Use a wrench to tighten both pedals securely.

4.7 Battery Connection and Power On

  1. Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use.
  2. Insert the power connector into the battery port.
  3. Turn the key to the 'ON' position to activate the battery power.
  4. Press the one-button power switch on the handlebar to turn the bike on/off.

5. Operation

The WERHY Y6PRO Electric Bike offers multiple riding modes and features for a versatile experience.

5.1 Riding Modes

  • Pure Electric Mode: Use the throttle for motor-only propulsion.
  • Motor-Assisted Mode (Pedal Assist): The motor provides assistance as you pedal, extending your range and making rides easier.
  • Pedal Mode: Ride the bike like a traditional bicycle without motor assistance.

5.2 Controls and Features

  • Throttle: Located on the right handlebar, controls motor speed in pure electric mode.
  • Headlight & Taillight: Turn on simultaneously with the light switch. The taillight also functions as a brake light and turn signal.
  • Horn: Located beneath the left handle.
  • Brakes: Front and rear disc brakes combined with an electronic brake system (EABS) for responsive stopping power. The taillight flashes when brakes are applied.
  • Digital Display: Shows battery level, speed, and other ride information.
  • Phone Holder: Integrated on the handlebars, can be connected to a charging cable.

5.3 Folding the Bike

The WERHY Y6PRO features a double-fold design for easy storage and transport.

  1. Rotate the pedals to a vertical position.
  2. Unlock the upright pole latch and fold the handlebars down.
  3. Lift the kickstand and lay the vehicle flat on the ground.
  4. Fold the main axle of the vehicle by unlocking the central latch.
  5. Secure all latches once folded.

6. Maintenance
