1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, assembly, and maintenance of your VARUN C24-3 Electric Bike. Please read this manual thoroughly before your first ride and keep it for future reference. Understanding the features and proper usage will ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

Upon unpacking, ensure all components listed below are present:

3. Assembly Instructions

Your VARUN C24-3 Electric Bike comes 90% pre-assembled. Follow these steps to complete the assembly:

3.2. Handlebar and Stem Installation

Insert the handlebar stem into the fork tube. Adjust the height and angle for comfortable riding, then tighten the bolts securely using the provided toolkit.

3.3. Seat Post and Saddle Installation

Insert the seat post into the frame's seat tube. Adjust the saddle height to ensure your feet can comfortably touch the ground when stopped. Secure the quick-release lever or bolt.

3.4. Front Wheel and Fender Attachment

Attach the front wheel to the fork, ensuring the disc brake rotor is correctly aligned with the caliper. Secure the quick-release skewer. Install the front fender above the wheel, attaching it to the fork mounts.

3.5. Rear Fender and Rack Attachment

Attach the rear fender and the rear cargo rack to the designated mounting points on the frame. Ensure all bolts are tightened for stability.

3.6. Headlight and Taillight Installation

Mount the headlight to the front fork and the taillight to the rear rack. Connect their respective cables to the main wiring harness. Ensure connections are secure and waterproof.

3.7. Pedal Installation

Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. The left pedal screws counter-clockwise, and the right pedal screws clockwise. Tighten them firmly with a wrench.

3.8. Battery Installation

Slide the 48V removable battery into its frame mount until it clicks securely into place. Use the key to lock the battery, preventing theft and ensuring it stays in position during rides.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Powering On/Off and Display

To power on the bike, ensure the battery is locked in place and press the power button on the battery. Then, press and hold the power button on the LCD display located on the handlebars. The display will show current speed, battery level, trip distance, and pedal-assist level.

4.2. Riding Modes

The VARUN C24-3 Electric Bike offers versatile riding options:

• Throttle-Only E-Bike Cruising: Engage the throttle for motor-powered movement without pedaling. Max speed up to 20 MPH.
• Pedal-Assist (PAS) Mode: The motor provides assistance as you pedal, extending your range up to 40+ miles. Adjust assist levels via the LCD display.
• Traditional Cycling (Manual Pedal): Ride the bike like a standard bicycle, using only pedal power.
• Power-Assisted Pushing Mode: Assists at 6 km/h, making it effortless to push the bicycle when not riding.

4.3. Gear Shifting

Utilize the 7-speed shifter to adjust gears according to terrain and desired effort. Shift smoothly to maintain optimal pedaling cadence and motor efficiency.

4.4. Braking System

The bike is equipped with dual disc brakes for reliable stopping power. Always apply both brakes gently and evenly to avoid skidding, especially in wet conditions.

• 48V Removable Battery: The 48V 374.4WH Li-ion battery offers over 40+ miles in pedal-assist mode and charges fully in 4-5 hours. It features over-temperature, over-voltage, and over-charger protection.
• Front Suspension: The dual front fork suspension provides a smoother ride, reduces hand fatigue, and improves control and stability on varied terrains.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your electric bike:

• Tires: Check tire pressure before each ride. Maintain recommended PSI for optimal performance and safety.
• Brakes: Regularly inspect brake pads and rotors for wear. Ensure brake levers are responsive and cables are not frayed. Adjust as needed.
• Chain: Keep the chain clean and lubricated, especially after riding in wet conditions.
• Battery: Charge the battery regularly, even when not in use, to maintain its health. Avoid fully discharging the battery. Store in a cool, dry place.
• Fasteners: Periodically check all bolts and screws for tightness, especially on the handlebars, seat post, wheels, and accessories.
• Cleaning: Clean your bike with a damp cloth. Avoid high-pressure washing directly on electrical components.
