Setup

1. Charging the Earmuffs

Before first use, fully charge your MX II PRO earmuffs.

  1. Locate the USB-C charging port on the earmuffs.
  2. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the earmuffs and a compatible USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer USB port).
  3. The charging indicator light will illuminate. Once fully charged, the light may change color or turn off, depending on the model.
  4. A full charge provides up to 60 hours of hearing enhancement use.

2. Fitting the Earmuffs

Proper fit is crucial for effective hearing protection and sound quality.

  1. Extend the headband to its maximum length.
  2. Place the earmuffs over your ears, ensuring the earcups fully cover your ears and create a seal against your head.
  3. Adjust the headband by sliding the earcups up or down until a snug and comfortable fit is achieved.
  4. Ensure no hair, clothing, or other objects interfere with the seal around your ears.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

  • To power on, press and hold the multi-function toggle button until you hear an audible indication.
  • To power off, press and hold the multi-function toggle button until you hear an audible indication.

2. Sound Amplification and Impact Compression

The MX II PRO features electronic sound amplification and impact compression to protect your hearing while maintaining situational awareness.

  • Activate/Deactivate: Triple tap either the left or right touch sensor on the earcup to toggle the hear-through and compression feature on or off.
  • Adjust Volume:
    • Double tap the left touch sensor to decrease the amplification volume.
    • Double tap the right touch sensor to increase the amplification volume.

3. Bluetooth Audio

Connect your MX II PRO earmuffs to your smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled devices for streaming audio and calls.

  1. Ensure the earmuffs are powered on.
  2. Activate Bluetooth on your device.
  3. The earmuffs should automatically enter pairing mode upon first power-on or if no device is connected. Look for "AXIL MX II PRO" in your device's Bluetooth settings.
  4. Select "AXIL MX II PRO" to pair. A voice prompt will confirm successful connection.
  5. Use the multi-function toggle button for managing Bluetooth audio (e.g., play/pause, skip tracks, answer/end calls). Refer to the specific button functions in the diagram below.

Dual Protection Storage System

The MX II PRO features a unique storage compartment designed to hold compatible AXIL earplugs (X20 or X30i). This allows for convenient access to additional hearing protection when extremely high noise levels require double protection.

  • Locate the storage compartment on the side of the earmuff.
  • Open the compartment and insert your compatible AXIL earplugs.
  • Close the compartment securely to keep earplugs safe and organized.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Hand clean only. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the earcups and headband. Do not submerge the earmuffs in water or use harsh cleaning agents.
  • Storage: Store the earmuffs in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Earcup Seals: Regularly inspect the earcup seals for wear and tear. Damaged seals can compromise noise reduction. Replace if necessary.
