4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Switching Input Sources

You can switch between connected HDMI input sources using two methods:

  • Remote Control: Use the numbered buttons (1, 2, 3, 4) on the included remote control to directly select the desired input source.
  • Manual Button: Press the 'SELECT' button on the front panel of the switch to cycle through the input sources.
  • Automatic Switching: The switch features an automatic switching function that detects power input from connected devices. When a new device is powered on, the switch may automatically switch to that input.

4.2 Audio Mode Selection

The switch offers three audio modes to manage audio output:

  • PASS Mode: In this mode, audio is output only from the TV.
  • 2.1CH Mode: Audio is output from all audio interfaces (HDMI, SPDIF, AUX). The eARC/ARC button can be used to switch audio output between the TV and external speakers.
  • 5.1CH Mode: Audio is output from all audio interfaces. SPDIF supports Dolby, Digital, DTS, and PCM (compressed/uncompressed formats). The AUX port supports PCM audio format only. The eARC/ARC button can be used to switch audio output between the TV and external speakers.

To change the audio mode, use the dedicated buttons on the switch or remote control.

4.3 ARC/eARC Functionality

When the TV's HDMI ARC port is connected to the switch's HDMI OUT port, audio from the TV can be returned to the switch. This audio can then be output through the optical SPDIF or 3.5mm AUX terminals to external speakers or a soundbar.

Note: If ARC is not active on your TV, the eARC/ARC button on the switch will function as a general input switch.

5. Important Notes Before Use

  • When connecting only to the TV's HDMI ARC port, ensure the cable is connected to the HDMI OUT port of this product. In this configuration, audio will be output from the optical digital and AUX ports.
  • This product does not support CEC volume control. The CEC function must be enabled on your TV for ARC audio return to function.
  • If audio interruptions occur during use with certain amplifier devices that do not support VRR, please disable the VRR function on your input source device.
  • During ARC audio return, volume adjustment via CEC is not supported.
