ActiveTrail 20x33 ft Heavy Duty Party Tent Instruction Manual

Model: dNmm86tZmpRnZBga_ejIkAJ7z

1. Introduction

This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and effective setup, operation, and maintenance of your ActiveTrail 20x33 ft Heavy Duty Party Tent. This expansive canopy is designed for various outdoor events, offering spacious coverage with removable sidewalls and a waterproof roof. Please read all instructions carefully before assembly and use.

2. Safety Information

  • Wind Conditions: Always use the included ground stakes or expansion anchors to secure the tent, especially in windy conditions. Failure to do so can result in damage to the tent or injury.
  • Heat and Flames: Keep the tent away from all heat sources and open flames. The tent material is not fireproof.
  • UV Exposure: Avoid prolonged direct sunlight exposure to prevent UV damage to the fabric, which can shorten the tent's lifespan.
  • Assembly: Ensure all connections are secure and poles are properly seated before use. Do not attempt to assemble the tent alone; a minimum of 2-4 people is recommended for safe assembly.
  • Weather Conditions: While the tent is waterproof, it is not designed for extreme weather conditions such as heavy snow, strong winds, or thunderstorms. Dismantle the tent if severe weather is anticipated.

3. Package Contents

Before beginning assembly, verify that all components listed below are present and undamaged. Refer to the diagram for visual identification of parts.

  • Galvanized Steel Pipes (various lengths and types for roof, legs, and support)
  • Connectors (T-shaped, L-shaped, cross-shaped for frame assembly)
  • Roof Cover (160gsm PE fabric)
  • Sidewalls (6 removable panels with church-style windows)
  • Zippered Doors (2 panels)
  • Ground Stakes / Anchors
  • Ropes
  • Elastic Ball Straps
  • Assembly Tools (wrenches, if applicable)

4. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps for proper assembly of your party tent. It is recommended to have at least 2-4 people for assembly.

4.1 Site Selection

Choose a flat, level area free from overhead obstructions and sharp objects. Ensure adequate space for the tent's dimensions (approximately 20x33 ft) and for securing ropes and stakes.

4.2 Frame Assembly

  1. Unpack all components and lay them out, identifying each part according to the package list.
  2. Begin by assembling the roof frame. Connect the shorter galvanized steel pipes using the appropriate connectors (T-shaped, cross-shaped) to form the rectangular roof structure. Ensure all spring buttons click into place for a secure connection.
  3. Attach the longer leg poles to the assembled roof frame. Lift the structure carefully, with multiple people, and insert the leg poles into the connectors.
  4. Once the basic frame is upright, reinforce it by adding any diagonal support bars or additional cross-members as indicated in the detailed assembly diagram (not provided in this general manual, refer to product-specific instructions).

4.3 Roof Cover Installation

  1. Carefully unfold the roof cover and drape it over the assembled frame. Ensure it is centered and evenly distributed.
  2. Secure the roof cover to the frame using the elastic ball straps or other fastening mechanisms provided. Ensure the cover is taut to prevent water pooling.

4.4 Sidewall and Door Installation

  1. Attach the sidewalls and zippered door panels to the frame using the buckles, Velcro, or other attachment points.
  2. The sidewalls are removable, allowing for flexible configurations based on weather and privacy needs.

4.5 Securing the Tent

Once the tent is fully assembled, use the provided ground stakes and ropes to firmly anchor the tent to the ground. This is crucial for stability, especially in windy conditions.

5. Operating Instructions

The ActiveTrail Party Tent offers versatility for various events.

5.1 Sidewall Configuration

The tent features 6 removable sidewalls and 2 zippered doors. These can be configured in multiple ways:

  • Fully Enclosed: Attach all sidewalls and doors for maximum protection from elements and privacy.
  • Partial Dismantling: Remove some sidewalls to create open sections for airflow or entry/exit points.
  • Complete Dismantling: Remove all sidewalls and doors to use the tent as an open canopy.

5.2 Ventilation

The church-style windows on the sidewalls, combined with the removable panels, allow for excellent cross-ventilation, which is beneficial during warmer weather events.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance will extend the life of your ActiveTrail Party Tent.

  • Cleaning: Clean the PE fabric roof and sidewalls with mild soap and water. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the material. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before storage.
  • Frame Care: Inspect the galvanized steel frame periodically for any signs of rust or damage. Clean any dirt or debris from the poles and connectors.
  • Storage: When not in use, disassemble the tent and store all components in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the fabric is completely dry to prevent mold and mildew.
  • Inspection: Before each use, inspect all poles, connectors, fabric, stakes, and ropes for wear, damage, or missing parts. Replace any damaged components immediately.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Tent Instability: Ensure all ground stakes are firmly driven into the ground and ropes are taut. Check that all frame connections are secure and spring buttons are engaged. In very windy conditions, consider adding additional weights to the tent legs.
  • Water Pooling on Roof: Ensure the roof cover is stretched tightly and evenly over the frame. Adjust the tension using the elastic ball straps. If pooling persists, check for any sagging frame sections.
  • Difficulty with Assembly: Refer to the assembly instructions and diagrams. Ensure you have identified all parts correctly. Do not force connections; if parts do not fit, re-check the orientation or part identification. Having extra help can significantly ease assembly.
  • Damaged Parts: If any parts are damaged upon arrival or during assembly, do not proceed with setup. Contact customer support for replacement parts.
