1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your Hitachi 1.5 Ton 5 Star Inverter Split AC. Please read it thoroughly before using the appliance and keep it for future reference. This air conditioner features an Inverter Compressor, Wi-Fi connectivity, 4-Way Swing, Hybrid Convertible technology, Ice Clean cooling, and an Anti-bacterial Mesh Filter.

2. Safety Information

Always adhere to the following safety precautions to prevent injury or damage to the unit:

• Ensure the unit is installed by qualified personnel in accordance with local and national electrical codes.
• Do not operate the AC with wet hands or when standing on a wet surface.
• Do not insert objects into the air outlet or inlet.
• Turn off the power supply before cleaning or performing any maintenance.
• Keep children away from the unit and remote control.
• The outdoor unit is equipped with a SafeGuard system to protect against extreme weather, voltage fluctuations, and pests.

3. Setup and Installation

Professional installation is required for this split air conditioning system. The package includes one Indoor Unit, one Outdoor Unit, an Inter Connecting Copper Pipe of 3m length, and a Remote.

3.2 Wi-Fi Setup (airCloud Go)

Your AC features built-in Wi-Fi technology for smart control. Download the 'airCloud Go' app on your smartphone and follow the in-app instructions to connect your AC to your home Wi-Fi network. This enables remote control, energy tracking, and voice control capabilities.

4. Operating Instructions

Operate your AC using the provided remote control or the airCloud Go mobile application.

4.1 Basic Operation

• Power On/Off: Press the power button on the remote or in the app.
• Mode Selection: Select 'Cooling' mode for optimal performance.
• Temperature Adjustment: Use the temperature up/down buttons to set your desired temperature. Note: The indoor unit does not have a temperature display; refer to the remote or app.

4.2 Advanced Features

• 4-Way Swing: Activates automatic horizontal and vertical air movement for uniform cooling.
• Hybrid Convertible & Xpandable Plus Technology: Allows flexible cooling performance and can achieve up to 112% cooling capacity under changing conditions.

• Smart Fence: Automatically turn your AC on/off based on your proximity to home.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and air quality.

5.1 Filter Cleaning

The AC is equipped with an Anti-bacterial Mesh Filter and a Filter Clean Indicator. When the indicator lights up, it's time to clean the filter.

• Turn off the AC and disconnect power.
• Open the front panel of the indoor unit.
• Remove the air filters.
• Clean the filters with a vacuum cleaner or wash them with lukewarm water and mild detergent.
• Allow filters to dry completely before reinserting.
• Close the front panel.

5.2 Ice Clean (Frost Wash Technology)

This feature automatically cleans the indoor unit coil to remove dust, mold, and bacteria, ensuring odour-free and clean air. It operates in four stages:

1. Dust: Dust accumulates on the coil.
2. Freeze: Frost is created on the IDU coil.
3. Melt: The frost melts, washing away dust, mold, and bacteria.
4. Dry: The blower runs to dry the coil, preventing residue.

If you encounter issues, refer to the following common solutions before contacting customer support:

• AC not turning on: Check power supply, circuit breaker, and remote control batteries.
• Insufficient cooling: Ensure filters are clean, doors/windows are closed, and temperature setting is appropriate.
• Unusual noises: Minor sounds during operation are normal. If loud or persistent, contact service.
• Filter Clean Indicator: Clean the air filters as described in Section 5.1.

Your Hitachi AC comes with the following warranty:

• Standard Warranty: 1 year comprehensive warranty.
• Compressor Warranty: 10 years warranty on the inverter compressor.
• Extended Warranty Option: An additional 4 years beyond the standard warranty (total 5 years comprehensive) is available for purchase at ₹299+GST. This extended warranty covers parts only. The 1st year includes 2 Wet & 2 Dry services with free gas charging for compressor/coil issues. From the 2nd to 5th year, parts are covered; visit and labor charges apply.
