Setup and Installation

This stator is designed for direct drop-in replacement. No wiring modification is typically required. Always refer to your specific engine or equipment service manual for detailed installation steps and safety precautions.

1. Safety First: Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery to prevent accidental starting or electrical shorts.
2. Access the Stator: Depending on your engine model, you may need to remove the flywheel, cooling shroud, or other components to access the existing stator.
3. Disconnect Wiring: Carefully disconnect the electrical leads from the old stator. Note their routing and connection points.
4. Remove Old Stator: Unbolt and remove the old stator from its mounting location.

Operating Principles

The stator is a stationary electrical component that works in conjunction with the rotating flywheel (which contains magnets) to generate electricity. As the engine runs, the magnets on the flywheel pass over the stator's copper windings, inducing an alternating current (AC). This AC power is then sent to the voltage regulator/rectifier, which converts it to direct current (DC) and regulates the voltage to safely charge the battery and power the equipment's electrical accessories.

A properly functioning 15 Amp stator ensures a consistent and sufficient power supply for your battery and electrical system, preventing discharge and ensuring reliable starting and operation.

Maintenance
