Setup Guide
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the dehumidifier and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
- Positioning: Place the dehumidifier on a flat, stable surface in the desired location. Ensure there is at least 8 inches (20 cm) of space around the unit for proper airflow. Avoid placing it against walls or furniture that could obstruct air intake or exhaust.
- Initial Standby: After unpacking, allow the unit to stand upright for at least 24 hours before plugging it in. This allows the refrigerant to settle, preventing potential damage to the compressor.
- Power Connection: Plug the 3-prong grounded power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet voltage matches the unit's requirements (220 volts).
- Drainage Setup (Choose one option):
- Internal Water Tank: For manual emptying, ensure the 1.45-gallon water tank is correctly inserted. The unit will automatically shut off when the tank is full.
- Continuous Drainage (using included hose):
- Locate the drain outlet on the back of the unit.
- Connect one end of the included 6.56 ft (2m) drain hose to the drain outlet.
- Route the other end of the hose to a floor drain, sink, or other suitable drainage point. Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to allow gravity drainage and is free from kinks or blockages.
- Optional External Water Tank (sold separately): If using the KNKA 2.64-gallon external tank (B0GSFWHNBL), follow its specific instructions for connection. This option also provides continuous drainage.
