Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the efficient operation of your portable air conditioner. This unit is designed for use with horizontal or vertical sliding windows.

Window Kit Assembly

The window kit includes multiple panels (A, B, C, D, E) to accommodate various window sizes. The minimum window opening height is 17.72 inches, and the minimum width is 17.72 inches. The maximum window opening width is 70.87 inches.

  1. Step 1: Measure Window and Select Panels

    Measure the length of your window opening. Refer to the provided diagram to select the appropriate window panels (A, B, C, D, E) for your window type (horizontal or vertical sliding).

  2. Step 2: Assemble Window Panels

    Pre-install the metal clip onto one window panel. Then, assemble the window panels by inserting the metal clip into the path on the other panel. Ensure they slide smoothly.

  3. Step 3: Apply Sealing Foam

    Cut the adhesive sealing foam to the dimensions of your window opening and apply it to the window frame to ensure a tight seal.

  4. Step 4: Place Window Panel Assembly

    Carefully place the assembled window panels into the window opening.

  5. Step 5: Adjust and Secure Panels

    Adjust the window panels to fit snugly within the window opening. Secure them using the provided butterfly bolts.

  6. Step 6: Seal Gaps

    Close the window. Any remaining gaps in the window can be filled with non-adhesive sealing foam as needed to improve the room's sealing and efficiency.

  7. Step 7: Install Air Exhaust Hoses to Window Panel

    Align and install the two air exhaust hose assemblies into the designated holes in the window panel. Press the latch to lock each air exhaust hose into place.

  8. Step 8: Attach Hoses to Air Conditioner

    Attach the other end of the air exhaust hoses onto the portable air conditioner unit. Ensure a minimum distance of 17.75 inches (45 cm) from walls or other obstructions for proper airflow.
