This loft bed features a robust metal frame, integrated storage shelves, cabinets, and a wardrobe, designed to maximize space efficiency in your bedroom. It is suitable for a full-size mattress and does not require a box spring.

2. Safety Information

WARNING: Failure to follow these warnings and instructions could result in serious injury or death.

• Read all instructions before assembly and use. Keep this manual for future reference.
• Maximum Weight Capacity: The bed is designed to support a maximum weight of 400 lbs (181 kg). Do not exceed this limit.
• Guardrails: Ensure all guardrails are properly installed and secured before use. Full-length guardrails on the upper bunk are crucial for preventing accidental falls.
• Mattress Thickness: Use only a mattress with a maximum thickness of 6 inches (15 cm) to ensure adequate guardrail height.

3. Setup & Assembly

3.2 Required Tools (Not Included)

3.3 Assembly Steps

1. Unpack and Identify Parts: Carefully unpack all components and lay them out on a clean, soft surface (e.g., a rug or blanket) to prevent scratches. Refer to the parts list in your included assembly manual to identify each piece.
2. Assemble the Main Bed Frame: Begin by connecting the main metal frame sections. Follow the numerical sequence provided in the detailed assembly diagram. Ensure all bolts are finger-tightened initially.
3. Attach Guardrails: Securely attach the full-length guardrails to the upper bunk frame using the provided hardware. These are critical safety components.
4. Install Bed Slats: Place and secure the metal bed slats onto the bed frame. Ensure they are evenly spaced and firmly attached to support the mattress.
5. Assemble the Staircase: Construct the integrated staircase according to the instructions. This includes assembling the steps and any internal storage compartments.
6. Attach Staircase to Bed Frame: Carefully align and securely attach the assembled staircase to the main bed frame. Ensure a tight, wobble-free connection.
7. Assemble Storage Shelves and Wardrobe: Construct the 4-tier storage shelves and the wardrobe unit using the MDF panels and hardware.
8. Integrate Storage Units: Position and secure the assembled storage shelves, cabinets, and wardrobe underneath the loft bed frame. Ensure they are stable and properly aligned.
9. Final Tightening: Once all components are in place and aligned, systematically tighten all bolts and screws using the Allen wrench and screwdriver. Do not overtighten.
10. Final Inspection: Before use, perform a thorough inspection. Check that all connections are secure, guardrails are firm, and the bed is stable.

4. Operation

4.1 Using the Loft Bed

The DERCASS Full Size Loft Bed is designed for sleeping on the upper bunk. Always use the integrated staircase for safe access to and from the bed. Do not climb on the guardrails or other parts of the frame.
