2.1 Unboxing and Initial Inspection

2.2 Charging the Keyboard

Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the keyboard. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard's USB-C port and the other end to a powered USB port on your computer or a wall adapter.

The smart screen will display the battery level. The keyboard can be used while charging.

2.3 Connectivity Modes

The F99 MAX supports three connection modes: Wired (USB-C), 2.4Ghz Wireless, and Bluetooth.

2.3.1 Wired Mode

Connect the keyboard to your device using the provided USB-C cable. The keyboard will automatically switch to wired mode. This mode offers the lowest latency (less than 2ms).

2.3.2 2.4Ghz Wireless Mode

1. Locate the 2.4Ghz wireless receiver, typically stored in a slot on the keyboard's underside or side.
2. Plug the receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
3. Toggle the switch on the keyboard to the "2.4G" position.
4. For first-time connection, press and hold the FN key until the indicator light flashes rapidly to enter pairing mode. The keyboard should connect automatically.

1. Toggle the switch on the keyboard to the "BT" position.
2. Press FN + Q, FN + W, or FN + E to select one of the three Bluetooth channels.

3.1 Smart Screen and Rotary Knob Functions

The TFT smart screen displays essential information such as time, battery level, and connection mode. The rotary knob provides intuitive control.

• FN + Knob: Use this combination to switch the knob's function between controlling volume and adjusting backlight settings on the TFT screen.
• Custom GIF: Upload custom GIF images to the screen via the software.
• Time Sync: Synchronize the time displayed on the screen using the custom software. Press FN + T to switch between 12-hour and 24-hour formats.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning the Keyboard

Regular cleaning helps maintain the keyboard's performance and appearance.

• Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe down the keycaps and case.
• For deeper cleaning, use a can of compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keycaps.
• For stubborn stains, lightly dampen a cloth with water or a mild cleaning solution (avoid harsh chemicals).

4.2 Keycap and Switch Replacement

The F99 MAX features hot-swappable switches, allowing for easy replacement without soldering.

1. Use the included 2-in-1 keycap and switch puller tool.
2. To remove a keycap, gently hook the keycap puller under the edges of the keycap and pull upwards.
3. To remove a switch, use the switch puller to grasp the top and bottom clips of the switch and pull vertically.
4. To install a new switch, align its pins with the holes on the PCB and press down firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure the pins are straight to avoid bending.
5. To install a new keycap, align it with the switch stem and press down gently.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Connectivity Issues

• Keyboard not connecting in 2.4Ghz/BT mode: Ensure the keyboard is in the correct mode (2.4G or BT) using the toggle switch. For first-time pairing, press and hold FN + Q/W/E (for BT) or FN (for 2.4G) until the indicator flashes rapidly.
• Intermittent connection: Ensure the keyboard is within range of the receiver/device. Avoid obstructions and sources of interference. Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged.
• Wired connection not working: Check the USB-C cable connection at both ends. Try a different USB port or cable.

5.2 Smart Screen Not Displaying Correctly

• Screen is off: Press FN + Backspace to toggle the screen on/off.
• Incorrect time: Use the custom software (Windows only, wired mode) to synchronize the time.
