3. Setup

3.1 Powering On

Connect the provided USB power supply cord to the sensor and a 5V/1A USB power adapter (not included). The device will power on automatically.

3.2 App Installation and Pairing

1. Download the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app from your mobile app store (available on iOS and Android).
2. Register or log in to your account within the app.
3. Ensure your mobile phone is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network.
4. In the app, tap 'Add Device' or the '+' icon. Follow the on-screen instructions to add the air quality sensor. You may need to put the device into pairing mode (refer to the device's LED indicator for status).
5. Once successfully paired, the sensor's data will be displayed in the app.

Note: This is the WiFi version of the sensor. If you have a Zigbee version, it requires a Zigbee 3.0 gateway (not included with this WiFi model) for full functionality.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Real-time Monitoring

Once connected, open the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app to view real-time readings for:

• Formaldehyde (HCHO): 0-10.0 mg/m3
• Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC): 0-99.9 ppm
• Carbon Dioxide (CO2): 0-1000 ppm
• Temperature: 0-60 °C
• Humidity: 0-95 %

4.2 Smart Linkage (Automation)

The sensor can be integrated with other smart home devices via the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app to create automated scenarios. For example:

• If Formaldehyde/VOC levels exceed a set threshold, automatically turn on a smart air purifier.
• If Carbon Dioxide levels are too high, automatically activate a smart fresh air fan.
• If temperature is abnormal, automatically adjust a smart air conditioner.
• If humidity is too low or too high, automatically turn on/off a smart humidifier.

Note: These smart linkage functions require compatible smart home products to be connected to the same app.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

Wipe the device gently with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the sensor or casing.

5.2 Placement Guidelines

For accurate readings and to prevent sensor damage, avoid placing the air quality sensor in areas with:

• Excessive lampblack (e.g., directly above a stove).
• Strong convection air currents (e.g., near open windows or air vents).
• High concentrations of organic gases for prolonged periods.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Device Not Powering On

• Ensure the USB power cord is securely connected to both the sensor and a functional 5V/1A USB power adapter.
• Try a different USB cable or power adapter.

6.2 No Data or Incorrect Readings in App

• Verify the sensor is properly connected to your WiFi network and the app.
• Check the device's placement according to the maintenance guidelines (Section 5.2).
• Ensure your phone has a stable internet connection.
• Restart the sensor by unplugging and re-plugging the USB power cord.

6.3 Device Offline in App

• Check if your WiFi router is working correctly and broadcasting a 2.4GHz network.
