  3. Remove the old propeller and replace it with the correct new one, ensuring it sits flush.
  4. Tighten the screw to secure the propeller.

App Download

Download the official FERIETELF drone application from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Scan the QR code provided in the software instructions manual for direct links.

5. Calibration

Proper calibration is crucial for stable and safe flight. Perform these steps before each flight.

Power On and Pairing

  1. Long press the power button on the drone for 3 seconds to activate it. The drone lights will illuminate.
  2. Power on the remote control. It will emit a "DI~" sound, indicating successful pairing with the drone. The drone's red lights will be steady, and green lights will flash.

Compass Calibration (Geomagnetism)

  1. Place the drone flat on a horizontal surface.
  2. Rotate the drone clockwise until it emits a "DI~" sound. The drone's arm lights will go out.
  3. Turn the drone over (camera facing down) and rotate it clockwise again until it emits a "DI~" sound. The drone's forearm will show a steady red light, and the rear arm will show a fast blinking green light.

Gyroscope Calibration

  1. Ensure the drone is placed horizontally on a flat surface.
  2. Short press the "L/STOP" button on the remote control. The remote will sound "DI~".
  3. The drone's forearm lights will change from fast blinking to slow blinking, indicating successful gyroscope calibration.

Satellite Search (GPS Mode)

  1. Place the drone flat with the battery compartment facing you.
  2. Wait for the drone to acquire GPS satellites. The drone's rear arm green light will rapidly flash, then become steady once enough satellites are found. This process can be affected by the environment; wide open areas are best.
  3. Important: Do not fly in GPS mode without completing the satellite search. Otherwise, there is a high possibility of losing the drone.

6. Operation

Propeller Start

Once paired and calibrated, simultaneously pull the left and right joysticks down diagonally 45 degrees. The drone will emit a "DI~" sound, and the propellers will start spinning.

One-Key Takeoff/Landing

Click the dedicated takeoff/landing button on the remote control. The drone will automatically take off vertically. Click it again to initiate an automatic vertical landing.

Flight Modes and Features

  • GPS Positioning: Utilizes satellite signals for stable hovering and precise positioning.
  • Optical Flow Positioning: Provides stable hovering indoors or in areas without GPS signal by using a downward-facing camera to detect ground patterns.
  • Follow Me Mode: The drone will automatically follow the remote control or the connected smart device, keeping the subject in frame.
  • Point of Interest: Set a point of interest, and the drone will circle around it, capturing footage.
  • Waypoint Fly: Tap points on the map in the app to create a flight path, and the drone will fly along the route you set.
  • Auto Return Home: In GPS mode, if the signal is lost or the battery is low, the drone will automatically return to its takeoff point. This function is most reliable after a successful satellite search.
  • 5GHz FPV Transmission: Enjoy a live view from the drone's perspective on your smartphone with a strong 5GHz FPV signal, offering a control range of up to 1640ft (500m).
  • 4K Camera: Capture stunning 4K photos and 2K HD videos with the 120° wide-angle camera, adjustable from 0-90°.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Drone not powering on: Ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly inserted. Long press the power button for 3 seconds.
  • Remote control not pairing: Ensure both the drone and remote are powered on and within range. Re-attempt the pairing process.
  • Unstable flight: Perform a full compass and gyroscope calibration. Ensure you are flying in calm weather conditions.
  • No FPV feed: Check your smartphone's Wi-Fi connection to the drone. Ensure the app is open and updated.
  • Drone drifts: Recalibrate the gyroscope. Adjust trim settings on the remote control if necessary.
  • One-Key Return not working correctly: Ensure the drone has successfully acquired GPS satellites before takeoff. This feature is less reliable in Optical Flow mode.
