5.2 Connecting to Devices

The BENFEI portable monitor offers flexible connectivity options:

5.2.1 One-Cable Setup (USB-C)

For devices supporting USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode or Thunderbolt 3.0/4.0, a single USB-C to USB-C cable can provide both power and video signal.

  1. Connect one end of the provided USB-C to USB-C cable to a full-function USB-C port on your device (laptop, phone, etc.).
  2. Connect the other end of the USB-C to USB-C cable to one of the Full-Function Type-C ports on the BENFEI monitor.
  3. The monitor should automatically detect the signal and power on. If not, press the Power button.

Note: Ensure your device's USB-C port supports video output (DP Alt Mode) and power delivery. If the display is unstable or requires more power, connect an external power adapter to the second USB-C port on the monitor.

  2. Connect the Mini-HDMI end of the cable to the Mini HDMI port on the BENFEI monitor.
  3. Connect a USB-A to USB-C cable (or a USB-C to USB-C cable from a power adapter) to one of the Full-Function Type-C ports on the monitor and the other end to a power source (e.g., wall adapter, laptop USB port).
  4. The monitor should power on and display the signal.

Tip: For optimal performance and brightness, especially when using HDMI, it is recommended to connect the monitor to an external power adapter.
