3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Positioning the Unit

Place the air conditioner on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there is at least 20 cm of clear space around the unit for proper air circulation. Avoid placing it near heat sources or in direct sunlight.

3.2 Exhaust Hose and Window Kit Installation

The unit requires an exhaust hose to vent hot air outside. This is a DIY installation with no drilling required.

  1. Attach the hose connector to one end of the exhaust hose.
  2. Screw the other end of the exhaust hose (anti-clockwise thread) into the air outlet on the back of the air conditioner.
  3. Insert the window panel into your window opening. The kit is designed for both vertical and horizontal sliding windows. Adjust the panel length using the included screws and wing nuts to secure it.
  4. Connect the hose connector (with the exhaust hose attached) to the opening in the window panel.
  5. Ensure all connections are secure to prevent hot air from re-entering the room.

3.3 Drain Hose Connection (Dehumidification Mode)

When operating in Dehumidification mode, continuous drainage is recommended. Connect the provided drain hose to the continuous drainage port on the back of the unit and direct the other end into a suitable container or floor drain.

4. Operating Instructions

The air conditioner can be controlled via the top LED control panel or the included remote control.

4.1 Control Panel Functions

  • Power Button: Turns the unit On or Off.
  • Mode Button: Cycles through Cooling, Dehumidification, Fan, and Sleep modes.
  • Up/Down Buttons: Adjusts the target temperature (16°C - 32°C) or timer settings.
  • Speed Button: Selects fan speed (Low, High).
  • Timer Button: Sets the auto-on or auto-off timer (1-24 hours).
  • Sleep Button: Activates Sleep mode for quieter operation and gradual temperature adjustment.
  • Lock Button: Activates Child Safety Lock to prevent accidental changes.

4.2 Operating Modes

  • Cool Mode: Provides powerful cooling. Set your desired temperature between 16°C and 32°C.
  • Dry Mode (Dehumidification): Reduces humidity in the room, removing up to 18 liters per day. Connect the drain hose for continuous drainage.
  • Fan Mode: Circulates air without cooling. Choose between 2 fan speed levels.
  • Sleep Mode: Optimizes cooling for nighttime comfort by gradually increasing the temperature and operating at a lower fan speed for quieter performance.

4.3 Remote Control

The remote control duplicates most functions of the control panel, allowing convenient operation from a distance. Ensure batteries are installed correctly (not included).

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your air conditioner. Always unplug the unit before performing any maintenance.

5.1 Cleaning the Air Filter

The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.

  1. Turn off and unplug the air conditioner.
  2. Locate and remove the air filter from the back or side of the unit.
  3. Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit. Do not expose to direct sunlight.

5.2 Draining Accumulated Water

In Cooling mode, water may accumulate in the internal reservoir. The unit will typically evaporate most of this water, but in high humidity conditions, or when using Dehumidification mode, manual draining may be necessary.

  • Turn off and unplug the unit.
  • Place a shallow pan or tray under the drainage port at the bottom rear of the unit.
  • Remove the drain plug to allow water to flow out.
  • Once drained, replace the drain plug securely.

5.3 Storage

Before storing the unit for an extended period:

  1. Ensure all accumulated water is drained.
  2. Clean the air filter.
  3. Run the unit in Fan mode for a few hours to dry the internal components.
  4. Unplug the power cord and wrap it neatly.
  5. Store the unit in a cool, dry place, preferably covered to protect it from dust.

6. Troubleshooting
