  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and lay them out on a soft, clean surface to prevent damage. Verify all parts against the package contents list.
  2. Attach Casters: Securely attach the four 360° swivel casters to the bottom of the bookshelf frame. Ensure the two casters with brakes are positioned on the same side for easy access.

Operating Instructions

Moving the Bookshelf

To move the bookshelf, ensure the brakes on the two locking casters are disengaged. Gently push or pull the bookshelf to its desired location. The 360° swivel casters allow for easy maneuverability in any direction.

Securing the Bookshelf

Once the bookshelf is in its desired position, engage the brakes on the two locking casters by pressing down on the lever. This will prevent the bookshelf from rolling accidentally.

Adjusting Shelves

The shelves can be adjusted to different heights to accommodate items of various sizes. To adjust a shelf, remove all items from it, then carefully lift and reposition the shelf into a different set of slots on the side panels. Ensure the shelf is securely seated in all four slots before placing items back on it.

Utilizing Hanging Storage

The two plastic hanging baskets and two side hooks provide additional storage for smaller items, stationery, headphones, or other accessories. Simply hang them on the perforated top panel or side of the bookshelf as needed.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the bookshelf surfaces with a damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as they may damage the finish.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all screws and connections to ensure they remain tight. Retighten if necessary to maintain stability.
  • Caster Care: Keep the casters free of dust and debris to ensure smooth rolling. If casters become stiff, clean them and apply a small amount of silicone lubricant if needed.
  • Weight Distribution: Always ensure weight is distributed evenly across the shelves to prevent tipping or structural strain.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Bookshelf is wobbly or unstable. Screws are loose; uneven weight distribution. Check and tighten all assembly screws. Redistribute items on shelves evenly.
Casters do not roll smoothly. Debris caught in casters; casters need lubrication. Clean casters of any hair or debris. Apply a small amount of silicone lubricant if necessary.
Shelves are difficult to adjust. Items still on the shelf; shelf not aligned correctly. Remove all items from the shelf before attempting to adjust. Ensure the shelf is aligned with the slots on both sides.
