Operating Instructions

Smith Machine Operation

  • Adjusting the Bar: The Smith machine bar glides smoothly on linear bearings. To adjust height, lift the bar slightly, rotate to disengage the hooks, move to the desired height, and rotate back to engage the hooks into the safety catches.
  • Safety Stops: Utilize the adjustable safety stops (L-hooks) to prevent the bar from descending below a safe limit.

Cable Crossover System

  • Adjusting Pulleys: The dual-slide rail cable system features alloy pulleys that slide smoothly up and down the uprights. To adjust, pull the pin, slide the pulley to the desired height, and release the pin to lock it in place.
  • Weight Adjustment: For models with a weight stack, simply insert the pin into the desired weight plate. For plate-loaded systems, add Olympic weight plates to the loading pins.
  • Attachments: Connect the desired exercise handles or other attachments (e.g., rope, straight bar) to the carabiners on the cable ends.

  • J-hooks: Use for holding Olympic barbells for squats, bench presses (with a separate bench), and other free weight exercises.
