4.2 Concealment
Due to its small size, the device can be easily concealed within the vehicle, enhancing its effectiveness.
5. Operation
The system operates based on the detection of the proximity card within a specified range.
5.1 Anti-Theft Function
If the system does not detect the proximity card, the vehicle will be prevented from starting. This function activates if an attempt is made to start the vehicle without the authorized proximity card present.
5.2 Anti-Hijacking Function
When the vehicle is running, if the proximity card is removed from the vehicle's detection range, the system will automatically shut off the engine after 1 minute. This provides a safety measure in case of vehicle theft while in operation.
5.3 Adjustable Induction Detection Range
The system's detection range for the proximity card can be adjusted between 2 and 8 meters to suit user preferences and vehicle environment.
5.4 Emergency Release Mode (Car Wash/Maintenance Mode)
An emergency release mode is available for situations such as car washes or vehicle maintenance, allowing the vehicle to operate without the proximity card for a temporary period. Refer to the specific instructions in the included manual for activating and deactivating this mode.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Proximity Card Battery Replacement
The proximity cards are powered by CR2032 batteries. The system includes a low voltage alarm prompt function that will alert you when the battery inside the induction card is too low. When this occurs, replace the battery promptly to ensure continuous protection.
To replace the battery:
- Carefully open the proximity card casing.
- Remove the old CR2032 battery.
- Insert a new CR2032 battery, ensuring correct polarity.
- Close the proximity card casing securely.
7. Troubleshooting
While this manual does not provide specific troubleshooting steps, consider the following general advice if you encounter issues:
- System Not Responding: Ensure all wiring connections are secure and correctly installed according to Section 4.1.
- Proximity Card Issues: Check the battery in the proximity card (refer to Section 6.1 for replacement). Ensure the card is within the detection range.
- Unexpected Engine Shut-off: Verify that the proximity card is continuously within the detection range while the vehicle is running. If the card is removed or its battery is low, the anti-hijacking function will activate.
- Alarm Sounds: A sound alarm indicates a security event or a low battery in the proximity card. Address the underlying cause.
