Setup Instructions
- Connect Antennas: Screw the two antennas onto the ANT A and ANT B connectors on the rear panel of the receiver. Position them vertically for best reception.
- Power the Receiver: Connect the provided DC power adapter to the DC 12-18V input on the receiver's rear panel, then plug the adapter into a power outlet. Press the power button on the receiver's front panel to turn it on. The LCD display should illuminate.
- Install Microphone Batteries: Unscrew the bottom cap of each handheld microphone to access the battery compartment. Insert two fresh AA batteries into each microphone, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Screw the cap back on.
- Power On Microphones: Press and hold the power button on each handheld microphone until its display illuminates.
- IR Synchronization:
- On the receiver, select the desired channel (CH A or CH B) using the SET button.
- Press the SET button again to initiate IR sync mode. The display will show "IR---".
- Align the IR sensor on the handheld microphone with the IR sensor on the receiver (typically within 10-20 cm).
- The microphone and receiver will automatically synchronize frequencies. The receiver's display will show "IR OK" and the microphone's display will show the synchronized frequency. Repeat for the second microphone on the other channel.
Note: Ensure each microphone is synced to a different channel (A and B) to avoid interference.
- Connect to Audio System:
- For individual channel control: Use XLR cables (not included) to connect the BALANCED A and BALANCED B outputs on the receiver to separate XLR inputs on your mixer or PA system.
- For mixed output: Use the included 1/4" to 1/4" audio cable to connect the MIX OUT on the receiver to a 1/4" input on your mixer, amplifier, or powered speaker.
- Initial Volume Adjustment: Set the volume controls on the receiver to a low level initially. Adjust the input gain on your mixer/PA system as needed, then fine-tune the receiver's volume controls.
Operating Instructions
Powering On/Off
- Receiver: Press the Power button on the front panel.
- Microphones: Press and hold the Power ON/OFF button on the microphone handle until the display turns on/off.
Adjusting Volume
Use the individual VOL MIN/MAX knobs on the receiver's front panel for Channel A and Channel B to adjust the output level of each microphone. It is recommended to set these to a moderate level and use your mixer/PA system for overall volume control.
Changing Frequencies
If you experience interference, you can change the operating frequency:
- On the receiver, press the SET button for the desired channel (A or B).
- The frequency will start flashing. Press the SET button repeatedly to cycle through available frequencies, or press and hold to scan for a clear frequency.
- Once a new frequency is selected on the receiver, perform an IR synchronization with the corresponding microphone as described in the "Setup Instructions" section (Step 5).
Monitoring Battery Status
The LCD display on each handheld microphone shows the current battery level. Replace batteries when the indicator shows low power to avoid interruptions during use. Always use fresh AA batteries.
