Setup Instructions
- Unpack the Unit: Carefully remove the air cooler and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
- Position the Unit: Place the air cooler on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is at least 20 cm (8 inches) of clear space around the unit for proper airflow. For optimal evaporative cooling, position the unit near an open window or door to allow for air circulation and prevent excessive humidity buildup.
- Lock Wheels (Optional): The unit comes with 4 universal wheels. Two of these wheels are equipped with locking mechanisms. Press down on the lever of the locking wheels to secure the unit in place.
- Fill the Water Tank:
- Open the top cover of the unit.
- Pour clean, cool water into the water tank. You can also add water through the bottom water inlet.
- Observe the water level indicator on the front of the unit. Do not exceed the 'MAX' line and ensure it is above the 'MIN' line. The tank capacity is 8 gallons.
- For enhanced cooling, place the included ice packs (after freezing them) into the water tank.
- Close the top cover securely.
- Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.
Operating Instructions
Your Uthfy Evaporative Air Cooler can be controlled using the control panel on the top of the unit or the included remote control.
Control Panel and Remote Functions:
- Power Button (●): Press to turn the unit ON or OFF.
- Speed Button (↑↓): Select desired fan speed: Low (L), Medium (M), or High (H).
- Mode Button (☼): Cycle through operating modes:
- Normal: Constant fan speed.
- Natural: Simulates a natural breeze with varying fan speeds.
- Cooling: Activates the evaporative cooling function, circulating water through the cooling pads.
- Oscillation Button (⇆): Activates or deactivates the 120° automatic oscillation feature, distributing air across a wider area.
- Timer Button (⏱): Set the auto-off timer from 1 to 12 hours. Each press increases the timer by one hour.
Ensure the remote control has batteries installed and is pointed towards the unit's receiver for proper function.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your evaporative air cooler. Always unplug the unit before cleaning.
Cleaning the Water Tank:
- Unplug the unit from the power outlet.
- Move the unit to a location where water can be safely drained, such as a sink or outdoors.
- Locate the drainage port at the bottom of the unit. Open the drain plug to empty the water tank completely.
- Rinse the water tank with clean water. For thorough cleaning, you may use a soft brush and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly to remove any residue.
- Close the drain plug securely before refilling the tank.
Cleaning the Cooling Pads:
The cooling pads should be cleaned periodically, especially if you notice reduced airflow or an odor.
- Unplug the unit.
- Carefully remove the back panel and extract the cooling pads.
- Rinse the cooling pads under running water to remove dust and mineral deposits. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Allow the cooling pads to air dry completely before reinserting them into the unit.
Exterior Cleaning:
Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure no water enters the control panel or other electrical components.
Storage:
If storing the unit for an extended period, ensure the water tank is completely empty and dry. Clean the cooling pads and exterior. Store the unit in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging.
