This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your controller to ensure optimal performance and an enhanced gaming experience. The EvoFox Play 2 is designed for use with PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 (for PS4 games only), and PC platforms, offering both Bluetooth and wired connectivity.

2. Product Overview

The EvoFox Play 2 controller features advanced technology for precise and responsive gameplay. Familiarize yourself with the key components:

• HallSense™ Magnetic Joysticks: Provide drift-free 3D precision for consistent control.

3. Setup

3.1. Charging the Controller

Before first use, fully charge the controller using the provided USB-C cable. Connect the USB-C end to the controller and the USB-A end to a compatible power source (e.g., console, PC, USB wall adapter). The LED indicator will show charging status.

3.2. Connecting via Bluetooth (Wireless Mode)

1. Ensure the controller is sufficiently charged.
2. On your PlayStation 4 or PC, navigate to the Bluetooth settings.
3. Press and hold the PS button and Share button simultaneously on the controller until the light bar begins to flash rapidly. This indicates pairing mode.
4. On your device, select "EvoFox Play 2" from the list of available Bluetooth devices.
5. Once connected, the light bar will change to a solid color, indicating successful pairing.

Note: For PS5, the controller supports PS4 games only.

3.3. Connecting via USB Cable (Wired Mode)

1. Connect the USB-C end of the cable to the controller.
2. Connect the USB-A end to an available USB port on your PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, or PC.
3. The controller will automatically connect and function in wired mode. This mode provides a 1000Hz polling rate for near-zero input latency.

Note: When connected via wire to a PC, the button layout may default to a Nintendo Pro Controller layout (A/B and X/Y keys flipped). This can often be remapped within game or emulator settings.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Using HallSense™ Joysticks and Triggers

The HallSense™ magnetic joysticks and triggers utilize magnetic fields for input, eliminating physical wear and tear common with traditional potentiometers. This design ensures long-term precision and prevents stick drift. Use the joysticks for movement and camera control, and the triggers for actions like accelerating, braking, or firing weapons.

4.2. Gyroscope Functionality

The integrated 6-axis gyroscope allows for motion-controlled input. Tilt, aim, and control with precision in games that support gyroscope functionality. This feature is supported on PS4, PC, and PS5 (for PS4 games).

4.3. Touchpad Usage

The touchpad provides an additional input method for compatible games, allowing for gestures and precise cursor control. It functions on PS4 and PS5 (for PS4 games).

4.4. Audio Features

• Built-in Speaker: The controller includes a speaker for in-game audio effects. This feature is supported on PS4.
• 3.5mm Headphone Jack: Connect a headset to the 3.5mm jack for private audio and communication. This feature is supported on PS4.

4.5. Programmable Back Buttons and Turbo Mode

The EvoFox Play 2 features programmable back buttons, allowing you to assign complex macros or frequently used button combinations for a competitive advantage. 5. Compatibility

• PlayStation 4 (PS4): Fully supported, including Gyroscope, Speaker, Audio Jack, and Touchpad.
• PlayStation 5 (PS5): Compatible for playing PS4 games only. Gyroscope and Touchpad are supported for PS4 games. Speaker and Audio Jack are not supported on PS5.
• PC Gaming: Compatible as a PlayStation Controller. Gyroscope is supported for PS4 games. Speaker, Audio Jack, and Touchpad are not supported on PC.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your EvoFox Play 2 controller, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the controller. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Storage: Store the controller in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Battery Care: Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the controller regularly, even if not in use for extended periods, to maintain battery health.
• Cable Management: Do not bend or crimp the USB-C cable excessively. Store it neatly to prevent damage.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your EvoFox Play 2 controller, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

• Controller Not Connecting/Pairing:
  • Ensure the controller is charged.
  • Verify that Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
  • Try re-pairing the controller by holding the PS and Share buttons until the light bar flashes.
  • If using wired mode, ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the controller and the device.
  • Restart your console/PC and the controller.
• Input Lag in Wireless Mode:
  • Ensure there are no obstructions between the controller and the console/PC.
  • Minimize interference from other wireless devices.
  • Switch to wired mode for the lowest possible latency (1000Hz polling rate).
• Stick Drift or Unresponsive Joysticks/Triggers:
  • The HallSense™ technology is designed to prevent drift. If you experience this, ensure the controller's firmware is up to date (check the EvoFox support website).
  • Perform a controller reset (refer to the manufacturer's website for specific reset procedures).
  • If the issue persists, contact customer support.
• Audio Issues (Speaker/Headphone Jack):
  • Ensure you are using the controller with a PS4, as these features are not supported on PS5 or PC.
  • Check console audio settings to ensure output is directed to the controller.
  • Test with a different headset if using the 3.5mm jack.
• PC Button Layout Issues (A/B, X/Y Flipped):
  • This is a known behavior in wired mode on some PC setups. Remap the buttons within the game's settings or emulator configuration.
