1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the VOKSUN 3378QX Wireless Weather Station. This device provides comprehensive weather information including indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity, a digital barometer, moon phase, and weather forecasts. It also features a DCF radio-controlled clock, alarm functions, and an adjustable color LCD backlight for optimal readability. This manual will guide you through the setup, operation, and maintenance of your weather station.

4. Setup

4.1 Powering the Devices

The main unit can be powered by the included DC5V adapter or by batteries (not included). The outdoor sensor requires batteries for operation.

  1. Outdoor Sensor: Open the battery compartment on the back of the wireless sensor. Insert 2 x AA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment.
  2. Main Unit:
    • Adapter Power: Connect the DC5V adapter to the main unit and plug it into a power outlet. The display will remain constantly lit, except during the RCC signal search period.
    • Battery Power: Open the battery compartment on the back of the main unit. Insert 2 x AA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment. When powered by batteries, the display will automatically turn off after 15 seconds to save power. Touch the “ ☀ / ⏰ ” button to temporarily light up the screen.

4.2 Sensor Pairing

The main unit automatically synchronizes with the outdoor sensor. Ensure both devices are powered on and within range (up to 60 meters / 200 feet in open areas). The main unit supports up to three wireless outdoor sensors simultaneously.

4.3 DCF Radio Control Clock (RCC) Synchronization

The weather station automatically synchronizes its date and time via DCF radio waves. After restarting, the DCF signal synchronization will occur automatically within approximately 7 minutes. The RCC function also handles automatic daylight saving time (DST) adjustments.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Display Functions

The large LCD screen displays various information:

5.2 Alarm Clock Functions

The weather station supports two independent alarm groups. You can set alarms for weekdays (Monday-Friday), weekends (Saturday-Sunday), or both. A snooze function is available, allowing for a delayed reminder after the alarm sounds (5 to 60 minutes).

5.3 Adjustable Backlight

The main unit features a multi-layered adjustable backlight to improve readability in various lighting conditions. Adjust the brightness to your preference using the dedicated button.

5.4 Temperature Alerts & Frost Warning

The device can be set to alert you to specific indoor and outdoor temperature ranges. Additionally, a frost warning alarm activates when the outdoor sensor temperature is between -1°C (+30°F) and +3°C (+37°F), with a flashing frost icon.

5.5 Placement Options

The main unit can be placed on a desk using its integrated stand or mounted on a wall.

7. Troubleshooting
