2. Safety Guidelines

4. Setup and Assembly
The Caroma Peak D1 Electric Scooter arrives 85% pre-assembled. Follow these steps for final assembly:
4.1. Handlebar Installation
- Untighten the screws on the vertical tube using the provided Allen wrench.
- Place the handlebar into the groove above the vertical tube and adjust its angle for comfortable riding.
- Put the lid back on and tighten the screws securely with the Allen wrench. Ensure the handlebar structure is fixed and does not shake.

4.2. Seat Installation
- Remove the nuts from the bolts on the underside of the seat.
- Align the seat with the bolt holes on the scooter's frame.
- Secure the seat in place by reattaching and tightening the nuts using the provided wrench.

4.3. Basket Installation
- Remove the screws from the basket mounting points on the scooter frame.
- Place the basket onto the frame, aligning its holes with the mounting points.
- Reinsert and securely tighten the screws using the provided Allen wrench.

4.4. Reflector and Tail Light Installation
- Attach the front reflector to the handlebar using the provided screws and Allen wrench.
- Peel off the adhesive backing from the side reflectors and firmly press them onto the designated areas on the front wheel forks.
- Attach the tail light to the rear of the scooter using its bolts and nuts. Connect the tail light wire to the corresponding connector on the scooter.

4.5. Initial Charging
Before your first ride, fully charge the scooter's 36V battery. Connect the charger to a power supply and then to the scooter's charging port. The red indicator light on the charger will turn green when fully charged. Charging typically takes 7-8 hours.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Power On/Off
Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the 'ON' position. The scooter is now ready for operation. Turn the key to 'OFF' to power down.
5.2. Acceleration
The acceleration knob is located on the right handlebar. Twist the knob gently to accelerate. The scooter has multiple speed gears; start with a low speed for beginners and gradually increase as you gain experience.
5.3. Braking
