Video Guide: How to Use the Mouse
Video: A comprehensive guide demonstrating unboxing, button functions, 2.4GHz and Bluetooth connection steps, DPI adjustment, and troubleshooting tips for the TECKNET Ergonomic Mouse.
DPI Adjustment
The mouse features 6 adjustable DPI levels: 800, 1200, 1600, 2400, 3200, and 4800. DPI (Dots Per Inch) affects the cursor movement speed. A higher DPI means faster cursor movement across the screen.
- To change the DPI level, click the DPI button located on the top of the mouse.
- Each click will cycle through the DPI levels. The indicator light will flash a certain number of times to signify the current DPI level:
- 1 flash: 800 DPI
- 2 flashes: 1200 DPI
- 3 flashes: 1600 DPI
- 4 flashes: 2400 DPI
- 5 flashes: 3200 DPI
- 6 flashes: 4800 DPI
Troubleshooting
Tip 1: Reconnecting 2.4G Mode if Disconnected
- Switch the 3-mode switch button on the bottom of the mouse to 2.4G mode.
- Press and hold the left button, right button, and scroll wheel simultaneously for 3 seconds. The channel indicator light will rapidly flash.
- Within 20 seconds, insert the USB receiver into your computer's USB-A port.
- Once the indicator light stays on, the 2.4G pairing is successful.
Tip 2: Bluetooth Connection Interruption
If your Bluetooth connection is interrupted:
- Open your computer's Device Manager or Bluetooth settings.
- Locate the mouse (e.g., "TK-MS007 3.0" or "TK-MS007 5.0") in the Bluetooth options and click "Remove/Uninstall" this device.
- Then, follow the Bluetooth Mode Connection steps above to reconnect.
Tip 3: Cursor Lag or Inaccurate Tracking
If you experience cursor lag or inaccurate tracking:
- Inspect the bottom lens of the mouse for any dirt or debris. Clean it gently if necessary.
- Ensure the surface you are using is not glass or overly smooth, as this can interfere with optical tracking.
- Check if your mouse pad is made of plastic. If so, try cleaning the mouse pad or using a different surface.
